Just out of interest, was there a two minute silence or any tribute to Roger Patterson ?

 

The minutes silence will take place on Wednesday. We recognised that there would be a bigger crowd for the Guernsey game and therefore more people who knew Roger would have the opportunity to remember and acknowledge his contribution to both Horley Town and football.

We did something similar for one of our management team but had a minutes applause... Just a thought...

Me too! I am really interested in seeing what the the standard will be. I have a sneaking fealing GFC will be too hot to handle. That said friendlies throw up some odd results./

 

 

After the announcement of the Guernsey side travelling to play Horley I will be interested in the standard too! Guernsey travel without 6 of what I would call starting players and will field a 16 year old goalkeeper. If Guernsey get anything out of this game I will be amazed. I arrive at Gatwick at 530pm where should I go for a pre game drink?

Agreed but I am not sure it is possible for Guernsey to have a friendly as an unknown entity. It seems lots of people are attending this game to check out the standard, it will be interesting and enjoyable no doubt. It will be good to see just how deep our squad is
