Don't want to do it long term mate just filling in for now,I am an assistant and would love to pass my experience on to a younger better looking chap,Phil our chairman reads this forum everyday so he will be looking forward to meeting Mr. Nice Guy as well, with his wealth of exsperience it will be good for Cove and I will be able to put out the cones for him.

Blimey, what happened? What did Koo go? He seemed happy a couple of weeks back and felt very positive about this season coming

Circumstances Wattsy !

There maybe something untoward going on at Cove ? Did Chertsey give Koo an financial offer that was too good to refuse ? A chance to go and coach at a higher level which I doubt would be the answer, but sometimes after a while, a job can become mundane so felt a change was needed ?.

Out of respect to their club, normally managers try not to show any emotion when they know they are leaving, for the sake of the players altho' it does become a surprise naturally when the manager tells them. It maybe the fact that Chertsey (or whoever in other cases) instructs the departing manager not to say anything up until a certain date. It could also be that Koo was contacted about the appointment AFTER you last saw him ?

There are so many scenarios Wattsy........

I have never heard anything so daft as the notion there maybe something going on a Cove

.

Let me put a few things straight, Koo confirmed he was staying as our Manager at the beginning of June, when asked what he wanted he said he wanted the pitch done. Our New sponsor has paid £5000 getting it done and ready for the new season, The new 5 a side pitch is due to be ready in October / November, which Koo also knew. That is all he asked for, he was given a budget which he agreed with. Phil Wentworth the Chairman and Frank Kenton the President had quite a few conversations with Koo on why players were going and they were told that they wanted to play in a higher league and that was it but he had better players coming in.

Very late Tuesday Evening the committee were informed by Koo that he was leaving, I can say that we were stunned, Koo has been fantastic for Cove and we wish him well, but no one can argue that his timing is awful, it seems to me that Spencer Trewethy (Day) seems to like picking off Cove players and staff, but I guess thats football, As for Cove we will carry on and dont write us off,
