Adrian Stone signs for Gate

Thanks for that Maidstone Fan, maybe Chris sees Adrian as a target for Matt Bodkins crosses and to knock back balls to others. Only time will tell as they say.

I thought there was alot less of the headless chicken approach last season-and that he had come back from Iceland a much better and more consistent player.

A further 10% improvement this season under would turn him into a really good asset

As above-you also get two players for the price of one-which must be a consideration-and neither does he seem injury prone so you get your moneysworth

It's good to hear Bodkin has signed a extension already, he must see potential in the way the club is going or we have really given him a good pay deal that he thinks is to good not take advantage off.

I can't comment on Stone I don't recall ever seeing him play, I haven't seen the friendly's but if he can hold the ball up and win things in the air that alone could be a useful asset to the playing squad.

As for Dan Stubbs he has a very good motor on him always gives a 100% even if it's not the most efficient use of that effort, but he has offered so much more than a lot of the players that have played in our colours in recent years.

I think Iris point is well made.

As CK said at the forum-one thing he wil install as manager is some organisation (critical )and we did lack midfield numbers in most games last season-so numbers and organisation-and the guy has decent and improving ability (i thought a much much better player in his post iceland stint with us ) so i hope CK does sign him

Stubb's best position was left back coming forward, but can anyone say he is better than Hill, Robinson or even O'Brien I don't think so. Lets face it he would have difficulty getting into the the team if Chris chooses the best fifteen players who were on show last saturday, By the way another defender to impress was the lad who played at centre back in the second half,(looked like Chris Smalling)

Derek just admit it you have never liked Dan for some obscure reason whereas the majority of us would love to see him back with us.

In my opinion he is not good enough, certainly not as good as the majority of players on display last Saturday.
