have no knowledge about him-is he an out and out striker/one of these wide forward/winger types/a fast fleeting 'striker who plays off another striker?

A 'deep' striker/the cliched-'in the hole' man a la pinnock ?

Surprised we've signed him and find it hard to believe he'll be in the starting line-up. Usually a reason why players have as many clubs as he's had and he doesn't seem to score many. Hopefully Chris can turn his career round but it looks like a tough task to me.

And as implied above-if he fits into 'the system'-it could work.

 

When we had 8/9 Gallatico's under Trott ,that did not work either-so you need a blend.

 

Anyway-most of us are'nt expecting much more than mid-table-so if he does enough to help get us there-then he will have earnt his corn

Reason he's back, could be that nobody else wants him. imo not good enough. Saw plenty of good players against Welling lets not take a backward step by signing a player whose on more elastic than a Pompey whores knickers. Once gone should always be forgotten.

I tend to agree with you. He is only interested until he falls out with current management & he's off, doesn't show a great deal of commitment. Gotta wonder if he would have been back if Maidstone had stayed up?

Welcome back Derek, wondered when you would make an anti Dan comment, believe you are in minority though. For your information Maidstone did want him if you check out their forum but Dan wants to play at a higher level which nobody can blame him.

I would equally be happy to see Stubbs in the squad-decent cover for both midfield and left back-and ca'nt fault his work ethic-and is good enough to play in this division.

 

could probably contribute 5/6 goals from midfield as well which is always going to be needed
