Started with Jacko, Surgess Logie Woozley M.Murphy, Sinclair Byrne trialist(george i think, hes played in other games) and swift, Mpi and abbey

subs Fanner (for Jacko), Brown (for Logie), Marsala (for swift), Bateman (for byrne), Clarke? (for sinclair), Burnell (abbey) and sonner (for Mpi)

Goalscorrers in order Woozley, sinclair, Swift x2 Bateman and burnell.

One of swifts goals may have been claimed by Mpi as it may just have skimmer his head.

Final score 6-1

I was impressed by Mpi, the midfeild trialist (george?), surgess and marsala and they all looked comfortable tonight.

I would say Mpi could be a started in the league and is a good target man and is very very quick and never gives up on a ball. Several times tonight he started a yard or two behind the defender and beat them to it.

Michael Murphy was at the Windsor game on Saturday, but I assumed it was in his capacity as a former Windsor & Eton player.

If he can recreate his displays from his 2003-2005 spell with us, then I'd welcome his back with open arms.

Yep it was Michael Murphy, thought I was seeing things but definately him and i was only drinking coke!!

Agree with Staines Jnr, Mpi was very impressive, also thought Ben Abbey played well. When Mr Brown came on in the second half apart from playing well he was very vocal which I think is a good thing and something we have lacked in the past.

Still no NBH then ?

Pretty much halfway through the friendlies and he still hasn't appeared. Everyone whom we expected to appear for this season apart from him has now done so ( apart from Adam Martin, but we know he's injured).

Either NBH is still badly injured ( which don't bode well ) or he ain't coming. And if he ain't coming do we need another person who can play central defence ? Also NBH was going to be " a threat up front at set pieces", so if he's not here we need that tall man up front - Mpi could well be that man.

Had it confirmed from Steve it was Michael Murphy and Dwain Clark.

How old is Michael Murphy? Does anyone know? Useful player to have in squad,if fit, as he can play anywhere across the backline.

Nice to see Dwain Clarke back, too. The bloke seems a few sandwiches sort of a picnic ! lol ! but is a superb crosser of the ball and get's down the line well. He,too, would be good for the squad, as he can play down either wing,so would give cover to Steve Sinclair and Dom Marsala/Stuart Swift.

Charlie Mpi looks a positive to our forward line and what we've been missing. Roll on the first league game.

Does depend on when he comes back from Scotland which SB said will be the latter part of pre season.

He will not need clearance to play pre season but will have to get it before 13th August

with regards to Michael Murphy, I can only assume he is helping out. Danny has gone (on holiday??) and Harper was called to help out and he will know M.Murphy
