Wolverton Town were not invited to join the SSML as our facilities were not in place at the time but we have been invited to apply again next season.

Compared to some, 4 tops acting as goalposts, and a spade to clear the dog [****!!****] is good enough......where MK City would have played, 2 goals and a bit of grass....unless they were going to use the adjoining astroturf pitches.

We got turned down mainly due to pitch work required, the rugby club left it in a right state, also the officials room requires their own toilet & shower which we will be installing.

 

We had already got permission to use temporary rope until the permanent barrier is installed.

 

MK City are confirmed to be playing in Division 2 of the North Bucks league next season.

 

Also has anybody got a spare set of goalposts they could lend us, as the set left behind have now disappeared from the broken in container on the site, we are applying for a grant from Sport England for the 3 pitches we have room on the site for, but that will take time that we are quickly running out of.

Just a suggestion but have you tried contacting your local professional/semi-professional clubs, could be a good publicity opportunity for them.
