Frimley Green pulled out of last night's friendly at Wibbandune.

 

Reserves v Raynes Park Vale tonight.

 

Any ideas as to why they pulled out CC

Trust me friendlies mean absolutely nothing. Dont get carried away and at the same time dont worry if you get a thumping. Remember Newcastle getting stuffed 8-1? by Orient. They went on to win the championship.

 

Us at Westfield had a wonderfull prre-season. Hammered Molesey Corinthian Casuals, drew against Badshot Lea and a full strength Godalming side. Think most of us got carried away, The writing was on on the wall when in our last preseason we had a feisty local derby against Ripley which was playd like a cup game and lost 3-1. we went onto have a relatively poor season.

Pre-season is all about getting fit and trying new players and formations.. I dont know why sides try to justify themselves with comments like it was our reserves etc etc. It's all irrelevant at the end of the day

Due to Bisley's groundsman not allowing the game to take place Westfield v Camberley was switched to Krooner Park.

Anyway not sure much could be told from tonight but a decent work out for both sides although there was one very interestingly looking lino and I am sure I recognised Westfield's keepoer in the 2nd half but just couldnt place him.

Indeed. Banstead lost 5-1 to Chipstead last night but it was about 75% trialists and the score slightly flattered the visitors as well IMO.
