Every season I contact the main Counties involved with our League in the hope of obtaining at least the early rounds of the County Cups before I start compiling the league fixtures. This enables me to factor them in to some extent. Over the last two seasons Surrey have managed to oblige but sadly not this year, which will mean that more league fixtures will have to be altered this season than has been the case recently This is particularly relevant to the Surrey Intermediate Cup, played for by Surrey reserve sides in our Division One, almost invariably on Saturdays. Thanks to ancient FA rules, reserve county cup matches, in theory at least, take precedence over our 1st Team matches.

As far as any early announcements are concerned, Middlesex are particularly poor as are Berks & Bucks although that is less of a problem. Hampshire looked as if they had excelled themselves this season with a very early announcement of the Senior and Intermediate Cup draws only for them to then go and change the date of the 1st Round of the Senior Cup after I had pencilled in the original dates.

Strange season thats our 1st team playing Knaphill in the FA Vase and our Reserves playing Knaphill 1st team in the County Cup in the same season!!!!

We have been drawn in the first round of both Surrey Senior and Surrey Premier cups, at home to Colliers Wood Utd, which is just as odd

Some good and difficult ties for some CCL clubs

A few highlights:

Interesting to see the club that has won this cup more than any other club (16 times) Dulwich Hamlet haven't entered the competition ?

Local derby between Egham and Ashford (Middx) - Also with Epsom & Ewell entertaining Sutton Utd winners of 15 finals

I see the Cup holders Corinthian Casuals are away to Molesey and the other finalists Leatherhead away to either Badshot Lea or Dorking.

Farnham will enjoy playing Met. Police on the Imber Court pitch.

A good draw for South Park with Kingstonian as their visitors, I wonder what team Kingstonian will put out ? Probably a mix of 1st team squad and Academy players, but more importantly there should be a decent crowd on the day.

Ash entertain Crystal palace ....again !

An intriguing affair with RPV going to Carshalton winners of 3 finals

Interesting to see AFC Wimbledon amongst the fixtures, I would have thought that their reserves and squad players will represent them. But would they when they play Tooting who have won this cup on 9 occasions.

What do you think TRS and Jertzee about AFC ?

Ah poor Guildford ! So why's that GS 'cos you have a fairly difficult game...... can't have easy games all the time........LOL !

Quite the opposite! Chertsey are nothing special, should be a good chance to progress.

They stopped entering it a couple of years ago. They only play in the London Senior Cup these days. London is their parent FA.

Sure it's just coincidence as we were drawn against Farleigh in both league cups, away. We were there to witness the draw too.
