Its probably my poor interpretation or listening skills; but does anybody else detect that the written word,is not so bullish as the spoken word was on thursday evening.

Indeed-is the requirement for consultation (and how long will that take) over the leases something 'new' ?

Even if the leases are agreed in principle in the next 14 days-there will be at least 6 weeks of going back and forth between solicitors as they 'find problems' to escalate their own fees

Some big hurdles to overcome imo (mainly funding ).

I still reckon KP will pull it off-but my money is still on a January 2012 start (and pray that travelodge hang on in there ).

I just hope i am very very wrong as usual.

1) That's why when I can I use both a write up and the audio. Diferent people will prefer different media to see / hear the news.

2) No, nothing new and always understood by the club and developer to be a clear requirement. The rules have changed about leases and what - in trems of lease length - constitutes a public asset disposal. This is what Councillor Moores was on about although I don't think he was very clear in his explanantion.
