Just been reading Non-LeagueDaily and it appears that St Neots have just signed player from Blue Square Bet side Tamworth called Neil McKenzie. Dennis Greene [manager] is reported as saying he wants two more defenders to add to his squad and that his team mean business and that they are going all out to win the title this year.

 

Let's hope he and his team are out of luck !

I know it's only pre-season but after beating Corby and Chelmsford it will be interesting to see how they fare against Arlesey tonight.

I think Arlesey v St Neots should be a cracking game,even though,it's only pre -season. St Neots turning over Chelmsford should be a wake-up call for Mr B and the Slough team. I'm really looking forward to the season, despite my reservations of state of our team. Whatever, its going to be exciting.

Flippin' heck,that's a thrashing. I wonder if Arlesey had their full team out? Didn't expect them to win that convincing. Still we beat Harefield 6-1! lol ! Just a small joke before I get pounced upon.

I've seen St.Neots this season. Believe me, sorry to say it folks but they'll start as favourites - got money like Arlesey had last year but possibly more and a bigger fanbase. Ground is nicer than Arlesey's and the whole set-up seems better geared up for progression than Arlesey. They'll have a strong squad.

 

They are aiming high - they've still got Stefan Moore the ex Villa striker and Shane Tolley who has a good pedigree. Hate to think how much a week they're on! Both of them dropped down to play for St.Neots last season - Moore dropped 3 levels having been HalesowenTown's and the Southern League's top scorer the year before.

 

Appears Arlesey only had 3 first-teamers playing? Rest were trialists and fringe players apparently.
