Why's that Rhodes? How does it stop anyone enjoying a game of football? Not as if you go much is it?

Loosely – Well that’s partly because I don’t enjoy going to football now as much as I used to in the 60’s and 70’s, what happened to things like cloth caps, rattles and rosettes for example. Seeing all the vintage footage recently of Manchester City from the late 60’s with the likes of Tony Book, Francis Lee, Colin Bell, Neil Young, Mike Doyle, Alan Oakes and Mike Summerbee said it all compared to their team of prima donnas of today who are only at the Etihad for the money.

I agree but its just the way it is these days.

The thing to do then is to watch lower league football, eg local non league teams, or the likes of Orient, Brentford, Barnet where your 'prima dona's' aren't playing...don't keep paying homage to Man City, Spurs or whatever Premiership team is paying over inflated salaries at the present time...the WORST thing about Man City is the roll on effect of the wages they are paying to the rest of the league pyramids - when you have Championship teams paying £50k to players...(
