Supporters Game v Rugby Town

See you all bright and early in the morning (10.30). I have the kit.

Obviously night before preparations will mean that all of you will be having a healthy meal and an early night tonight. No alcohol, kebabs or curry or late night partying. Says she, who's son has just eaten fish and chips and who's husband is about to go out for a curry.

Thanks to everyone who turned up today. Hope you are all still mobile in the morning and not suffering too much. I expect Matt's visit to WPH will take longer than the really efficient turnaround at Rugby, but hope it gets fixed and the pain isn't too bad.

Likewise, Ian, I think the wine will help the pain tonight at least.

Thanks to Kayleigh for babysitting Alfie and sorry about having to climb fences and crawl through bushes.

And huge thanks to Tom and the rest of the Rugby crowd for organising the game, laying on the food and the running back and forth to the hospital as well as providing us with a player.

I think everyone enjoyed it despite the result and hopefully a re match next year will prove the decider as we are now one all..

Slough Supporters. The end result did not matter. It was another occasion of the fans of both clubs having a day of enjoyment, together. Thanks to Kay for sorting and hope Matt has a speedy recovery from the injury sustained. Apologies for our No 9's 'issues' but we were all 12 years of age once in our lives. Good luck and see you all very soon.

Have just looked and the return match is 15th October. I did think we could ask if we could use Farnham Park, but I wonder if we could turn out a team on that day, it is also quite soon and also FA Cup Q3 (fingers crossed we are still in it.), which would mean a Tuesday eve.

Perhaps when Rugby play at Burnham or Sycob, if our game allows we could recipricate their hospitaliity. Will look into the dates

March 24

Burnham vs Rugby

Ashford vs Slough

so we will both have plenty of time to go see our respective teams play.

Unless people will be ready for October 15 when Slough vs Rugby is on.

Personally I need longer than that to forget just how much I ache right now!!!
