Out of interest Chrismb, why are you new?

Have you just moved to the area or something? What made you choose Windsor FC as the local team to follow.

(BTW, my other team is Reading.... good luck for next season. I do like Brendan Rodgers and thought he was rather unfortunate at our place, even if a lot of the problems were brought about by his own naivety. A bit of a cliche man, but a good guy. Remains to be seen how he gets on with the big boys as, in reality, he's very inexperienced as a manager, or even of being around 1st team players.)

Hi Rother,

Fairly new to the area, moved to Egham from Shepperton 10 months ago and have always followed Staines Town where I also served as a steward, safety officer and worked with the reserves and academy sides as physio, for altogether 7 seasons.I just stopped enjoying it there and I wont go into reasons why in this forum.I came down to a midweek game with two friends of mines, also ex-Staines fans last season and enjoyed the atmosphere etc. When I heard about the problems Windsor had and the whys and wherefores etc,I was pleased to hear that the club would reform under its new guise this season.I am a great fan of non-league football and the amazing voluntary work that fans put into them and feel this is what Windsor stands for, real football for real fans and a friendly feel to it all.

Swansea I decided to keep an eye out and the main reason being,I am Welsh by birth(o dear),lost the accent, and after all they are the first Welsh side to play in the Premier League. They will hold thier own up there and surprise a lot of people and better prepared than Blackpool was when the were promoted, open good attacking football and I agree in Brendan,an inexperienced manager etc ,but he gets the best out of them and is very much in the Ian Holloway mode.

Have to say I think you're dreaming a bit with Swansea. Think they are bankers for relegation, like my team were last year.

Enjoy the footy at Windsor though, sometimes pays not to get too involved and just enjoy the footy eh?

Staines' loss will be our gain then!

A few fans have reportedly walked as a result of what has recently happened so it is very good to hear of new support coming in!

Welcome!
