How did RPV get on??

Was at the Meet The Manager at Kingsmeadow...

 

RPV Res 0 Sheerwater 2

 

Good run out for the 18 man squad which included only two players from last season and a sprinkling of trialists(7). The outside pitch was difficult to play on for both teams. It was always due to be a first team fixture and we were unaware of the change otherwise we may have given more trialists and reserves a game. We still have players to bring in to the squad that were not available last night and look forward to Saturdays match with a near full 1st team squad to chose from.

Fleet Spurs 3 Cove 3 I hate to state the obvious but this was a game of 2 halves Fleet were 3 up in the first half and we got 3 in the second half,very good game with both teams fielding trialists and youth team players with a sprinkling of first teamers,good luck to Hunty and Robbo for the coming season.

Duncs, Good come back, Keep an eye on Koo, I spoke to him on Wedsnesday and he didnt seem himself, a bit down beat.

Congratulation Dobo ! You got Junior playing for you this season?

 

To be honest Dobo, I would be down beat with all my players jumping ship.......... I think it's gonna be a hard season for Cove ?

Im sure he will, however hes getting married in Sept so will be away for most of that month.

 

Cove will be up there Im sure, they may have lost some players but Koo & Duncs can & will get the best out of the players they have.

The term Jumping ship in football terms is when things have gotten bad and you then you abandon the club.

Ooops sorry, okay players have left by mutual agreement, or contract has expired.....whatever, people know what I mean.

 

All I'm pointing out that many players have left Cove so I think they may struggle this year, that's perhaps why Koo seems downbeat.................or maybe Koo might just have a cold.....LOL !
