A little off topic, as this result is from today - Sandhurst 2-0 Brighton XI

 

Good performance overall by Fizzers on a nice pitch (no sand this time!), against a very young looking Brighton side. I think it was Elnino that scored the second, towards the end of the second half. Good to see the stand is open again and just as well with the weather during the match! rain.gif

 

Kroons, maybe you should transfer your allegiance to Sandhurst as they didn't play long ball!

 

It was indeed myself who scored the second. And it was a very young Brighton side. Overheard it being said that it was their first year scholars with a few 3rd year scholars coming back from injury. Very good work out for the Fizzers who displayed great discipline throughout the match

Thanks TRS was a very good performance all round and a good pre season workout.

 

That is why I asked Krooner that earlier as I would never tell my players to hit the corners I always want them playing short sharp football. See you Tuesday Kroons smilewinkgrin.gif

good luck too you and laurie i do hope he comes back to hanworth villa as he means alot more to us than to your chairman who as you know signs a different player week on week if he thinks they are better than what he currentley has he signs them.

Very few exceptions DT. Ball back to front as quick as possible.

 

 

As a matter of interest Kroonz, who do you think in your honbest opinon are those very few exceptions.

 

I agree with you that when I saw Camberley 4 times last season, on all occasions they play like alot of Ruman clubs 'lump' football, wouldn't like to play in their midfield I'd get neck ache and having to run up the hill to boot.......lol !!!

In a previous post/thread, possibly headed 'Transfers' ? (Cant remember now!). who was it back then when I said Sgennan had moved from Hanworth to Chertsey. said I was wrong..................? You heard it here first, way back then ...........!

Will those Step 5 players be good enough for Step 4 ? Depends what Chertseytowns brief is to the players ? Depends what CXhertseytown wants to achieve ? Depends how much he wants to spend on the players budget ?

 

Stability - yes ! Play-offs - Doubtful ! Promotion - No !

 

Will I be proved wrong ???

i think that most of chertseys squad are good enough for step 4 and agree with you that lower mid-table for them at best

Surely he has attracted interest from a number of clubs?

thanks pagey we are hopeful of a good season and yes levi has had interest from other clubs but has settled in well at the villa having moved around alot so hope he will stay put. dont think anyone abuses the chertsey players as they are all top combined counties players but its how they have arrived at chertsey but spencer has the money and players can say no.but as you have gone up a level it is more tempting to move to you good luck keep those worldies going in

Who knows Kroons if you do come down on Tuesday you might even see a Ryman side who try to play the right way too! ;)

Do you have a problem with the management team as it's them that send the team out to play? Why don't you express your views to them if you feel so passionately, rather than constantly whinge behind a keyboard.

 

I for one watched the game yesterday and considering it was their first game of pre season against a very energetic and committed Aldershot XI, I thought they played quite well in part and should have comfortably won the game.

 

With supporters like you I'll be surprised Camberley even get a crowd.
