No this is his apprentice hoping to take his number 1 spot this season.

 

Just in case I'm not the no. 1 this season, I called myself no. 1 for being the first wpfc person on here!

Westfield will be playing our 1st pre-season match this Saturday, a double header away against Mole Valley. The games will be played at Prince Georges Playing Fields and the 1st game will be kicking off at 1pm.

 

Can anyone from Mole Valley confirm if they are playing 2 full strength sides or are the trialists likely to play like they apparently did last Saturday?

Saturdays friendly against Broadbridge Heath is on. Technically, a home game, but this will be played at.......

 

BROCKHAM BIG FIELD, KILN LANE, BROCKHAM Sy. Kick-Off 3:00pm.

 

 

As of 2:00 pm, this was still on after a morning of completely diabolical weather. Buckers has arranged two slightly shorter games.

A good preseason game. Godalming's clinical finishing proved to be the difference in the end.

 

Quite impressed with some of the new players as well.

Good performance and it was especially pleasing to see 6 or 7 youth team players feature in the match.

We managed to get these games going after torrential rain.

 

RESULTS:

1st Game: Trialists: DFC 0 - Broadbridge Heath 4.

 

2nd Game: 1st 11's: DFC 6 - Broadbridge Heath 0.

A great afternoon, which I'm sure, Buckers will comment on later.

1st game Horley deserved there win

2nd game we should of won to be fair, 2 down after 10 minutes didn't help, but after that we played some amazing football which was a delight to watch and should have won,

 

Horley will be workmanlike I think this season and will finish mid table

Camberley Town 1 Aldershot Town XI 1 game played in the right spirit by both sides with lots of youngsters on view adding to an entertaining afternoon.

First game a mixed bag of Westfield reserves and trialists best Mole valleys second string 7-3. We were 5 up after 20 min

Second game between each sides 1st XI on the day finished 1-1. A good workout for both sides and a fair result.

Not a bad game considering it was the 1st friendly.

 

Nothing untoward in the challenges but it was quite competitive which was good.

Were you there Sweeney? I thought you should have won by more especially with that comedy 2 on 1 at the end.

 

Based on that game and the fact you may have only lost one player I predict another very decent season.

 

Goals were 2 for Jaydon Gibbs and one each for Dan Moody and Austin Gacheru. I'll stick a report in my blog later.
