I thought Tommy and Moses looked the part up against a very good Alex Jeffers who is more than capable of giving defences the run around

Was Jeffers the 10 for Sandhurst in the first half?

And yeah Moses Spencer was immense. Big loss for Molesey I guess?

Yeah he was! Worked very hard, but it was a hard first half for any striker to get any real impact on!

O'Regan right winger, Treacher Left back, Missing a centre back as Tom McGarry is our right back, and missing a centre forward. The boys that come in are exactly that, BOYS. They did ok but were not up to the same level.

The kid at 4, Crossley looked like one for the future.

And I see the much-vaunted (on here) Jack Bull was playing 1st half for Sandhurst. He did okay I thought.

Andy Crossley is a very good player and in my opinion will play higher. Unfortunately I had to have a pop at him for not tackling at all in the 1st half. Cant carry passengers that dont stick their foot in or their head where it may get hurt!

He was much better 2nd half and will be very good for us this year. Moses and Tom were very good.

Colliers Wood 1 v 0 Corinthian Casuals, a good workout for both sides, had the pleasure of the company of Jeffb and son.As usual a nice friendly welcome from Colliers Wood, pitch looked great, and had a chat and a drink with the Match Officials who were excellent.

NICE to chat smudge. we where certainly trying to put the world to right. think it might be a long season for casuals.

can play anywhere mate.

at 21 yrs old I played as striker for Farnbro reserves and 1st team

at Ash Utd I was a striker, then left winger and then centre midfield. I also had spells at left back when called upon.

at Cove I was holding midfield, attacking midfield, played in the hole and played up front once against Dorking (of which I scored and had the assist for our other goal) dance%20(2).gif

I dont want to play right back but will of course play where i'm told. Spencer put me there to give the other lad a run in midfield. Playing right back was, and is, easy peasy although quite sure i'd get raped if playing against a lightning right winger! I'm quick over 15yds, not 50yds!!!

Had mixed reaction about my debut in midfield for Chertsey but personally felt i did good (obviously) cheesy%20(2).gif

I can play anywhere man ! You know what they say JJ, the older you get the further back you go, started as a striker at 21 now right back at 30something, you can't go back any further 'cos you're too small be be 'keeper LOL ! ................but then again, I suppose you have also played in goal during your career as well !!!

Duncs Jeffers has left Cove as well ........... whats happening, why is everyone leaving Cove ?

Agree Bommie, Spencer will be a big loss to Molesey in my opinion, so will Molesey be as strong as last season now ?

Sandhurst fielded separate teams in each half. Will try to remember everyone (apologies if I don't get them perfect).

First Half:

Matt Watson; Toby Jannaway, Nathan Miles, Michael Buck, Anthony Millerick; Calvin Thomas, Chris Firmth? Ross Hogston, Louis Hibbert; Alex Jeffers, Jack Bull.

Second Half:

Jack Medhurst; Michael Watson, Liam Eagle, Christian? (ex Basingstoke Youth) , Barry? (reserves last season); Josh? (ex Farny North end), Charlie Dukes, Tom? ( Ex Knaphill), Freddy Baron; Charlie Oakley, Danny Turner

Be interesting how TM gets on at Chertsey. always thought he was good enough to play up a level so good luck to him now he has escaped the evil clutches of Duncs.

At least he didn't go to your lot, whoever it is you support nowadays,we are going to have to rebuild again as we have no money to hang on to these lads anymore, but thats a challenge we relish so just have to get on with it.

Couldn't help but notice last night how quite the Chertsey bench was without Matt Paterson (Pato) there.

Pagey/Johnno any news as to why he has left? Or if he still with us?

Always seemed to be well liked by the players and obviously had a big influence on the time team over the past few years?

I think his work commitments have taken over which is why he felt he needed to leave Chertsey although dont quote me. Only what I had heard.

and dont worry about things being a bit quiet............as long as i am on the pitch, Chertsey will never be a quiet team. Pagey even has a voice now!!
