I would be surprised and disappointed in his decision, if it's true, for a few reasons:

 

 

 

1) His connection with Steve Bateman.

 

2) I think his company are based in Wycombe with the obvious benefits of being nearer for any Tuesday night home matches and training.

 

3) St Neots are at the same level as us.

I hope its not true, but as Tom says you never know who is with us until the first game of the season.

 

It also made me think that this is one of the reasons Steve Bateman doesnt mention names of players he is interested in until the last minute as it brings attention from other clubs to that player.

 

Thats just what I think though.

But on the other hand, we only want players at Slough who want to play for the club.

 

If a player commits himself verbally to a club and then changes his mind for a few quid more, do we really want that type of player at Slough? That type of player will more than likely leave at the drop of a hat whether it's before the season starts or half-way into the season.

 

If he leaves because he's ambitious and it's to a higher club, then good luck to him.

Lloyd Owusu is a free agent. I heard a rumour from my mate's brother's dog that he's coming to our next training session. I want this rumour all over the internet by lunchtime!

oh no I just went onto the St Neots website to check out the link and remembered Dennis Greene is their manager and now got the Dennis Greene whose your father song stuck in my head!! one of my favourite all time Slough Town songs! along with Lloyd Owusu is brasilian, lloyd owusu worth ten million!
