Went to Dexter Sports (Poole) tournament for my AB's. Left Camberley at 6 on the Fun Bus. Drew first game 0-0, lost 2nd game 1-0 and then won the other 4 games 1-0 including beating a very good looking Poole Town side. Despite the excellent run ended up finishing 2nd overall and picking up the runners up trophy. Then off to Boscaombe Beach to bath in the sunshine before getting stuck in traffic when the M3 was shut on the way home. Just got in. Long day and 8 very tired 12 year olds.

Good Day though.

Dorking Wanderers 2 v 4 South Park.

This was actually 3 x 45 mins which went 2v1 then 0v0 then 0v3. South Park looked the better side but were certainly helped by being able to almost totally change the team 70 minutes in, whereas most of the Wanderers had to play the whole 135. South Park were better organised, quicker and more skilful but Dorking Wanderers did well against them for the first 60 minutes. Nice little ground with a great view of Box Hill for the spectators.

Good to meet Molly11, the set-piece specialist and the coach driver Doug. Doug got his own back by responding to my question of which one is Dan Stone by telling me to look for the slowest player on the pitch. Had a good chat after he came off and of course we had the now obligatory "Nice Guy" discussion.

Ex-Merstham spot: No David Smith or Craig Dunne today but there are several at South Park with Merstham connections. Of special note was Justin David who had a suitably assured game at centre back and then went in goal for the last 45 mins when Wazza had had enough! Clean sheet for Justin!!

Lucky you caught me breathing in there Bom, nice to meet you and im sure i'll see you during the season. Probably the only time it will feel like a lose draw and a win in the same game 3 x 45mins is just weird! Especially after the game some bloke from DW was saying we won 2-1 to his mate on the phone, i was thinking hold up i thought it was 4-2 to us, he then added over 90 minutes and we played extra time for some reason, he wern't the sharpest!

Where's the camera? Don't forget the Goal when deciding goal of the season...

Well I was in the right spot for a perfect view of Pagey's worldy, made his FFXI worldy look like a tap in! A spectacular overhead kick. All was great except....no camera!! It's just a friendly and you don't get worldies in friendlies ;)

Might be just as well, as goal of the season would be over before the season has begun! Johnno will be relieved though :)

Wat you thin of the game TRS?

Keenly contested at times for a friendly!

Good workout for both teams though and i thought Lammas did very well first half with Chertsey looking lacklustre. Your forwards were giving the Chertsey backline a game. Chertsey's McGarry was convinced the ball had gone out before it was crossed for the goal. I'm sure the lino in the Lammas shirt was very unbiased ;) To be honest I didn't see it well enough and to be fair the danger could have been cleared earlier. Second half, Chertsey much better with Crossley having an excellent game and one or two I didn't recognise did well for them. Was the Chertsey no10 the forward that was at Cove last year? The only real Lammas chance I can remember second half is the young lad fluffing his shot when in on goal. Must say your second half keeper looks one for the future, might need to bulk up a bit mind ;)

Oh and you did OK at no6 :)

Lmao our keeper needs bulking!! Yep first half was basically our strongest, thought we looked pretty sharp actually! Second half had six 16 year olds playing who I thought done ok! Me, felt abit rusty and lacked sharpness but this is why we have these games! Glad you never caught pageys goal!!

whats the point in scoring a worldy when it counts for nothing??

Only time to do it is in extra time of a cup final...dance%20(2).gif

I'm looking forward to next week Foxyhills, our first team is now playing Ashford Town so our side will be very young except for the big man in goal.

Lets have a beer on it.
