Where's everyone off to today then? I'm probably going to try Dorking Wanderers v South Park. Afterwards I might have time to catch some of Merstham v Epsom & Ewell.

We are playing against Feltham at Cranford Community College TW5 9PD and we are kicking off at 3, we are made up of mainly trialists and youth team players so should be a very good game with hopefully everybody trying to impress the manager.

Lammas 1-4 Chertsey!

Good run out, lammas looked strong first half with and went 1 up threw Baxter! Second half changes were made and Chertsey were stronger with a goal of the season contender from Pagey, worldy of a bicycle kick! Nice to meet pagey and good luck to chertsey for the season!

Epsom ath 1 v 0 frimley green

A very good run out against a good side who will be looking to go up to div 1 next season.

I was very happy with the way we played with 8 new players in the starting 11 and it will take time to gel but pleasing run out

Feltham 4 Cove 1

H/T 1-0

F/T 4-1

1ST half we had the wind in our faces but played very well limiting Cove to 1 chance and have 4 or 5 ourselves

2ND half we made 10 changes which disruped us alittle and Cove scored a good goal and for the next 10 minutes took control, we then sent 3 lads who played the 1st half and run out 4-1 winners, good workout for both sides and me personally very pleased some great football played......Roll on next Saturday

Duncs and Koo good luck for the season

Dorking Wanderers 2 v 4 South Park.

This was actually 3 x 45 mins which went 2v1 then 0v0 then 0v3. South Park looked the better side but were certainly helped by being able to almost totally change the team 70 minutes in, whereas most of the Wanderers had to play the whole 135. South Park were better organised, quicker and more skilful but Dorking Wanderers did well against them for the first 60 minutes. Nice little ground with a great view of Box Hill for the spectators.

Good to meet Molly11, the set-piece specialist and the coach driver Doug. Doug got his own back by responding to my question of which one is Dan Stone by telling me to look for the slowest player on the pitch. Had a good chat after he came off and of course we had the now obligatory "Nice Guy" discussion.

Ex-Merstham spot: No David Smith or Craig Dunne today but there are several at South Park with Merstham connections. Of special note was Justin David who had a suitably assured game at centre back and then went in goal for the last 45 mins when Wazza had had enough! Clean sheet for Justin!!

PS. Updated me new blog with a review on the game.

Chertsey 4 Staines Lammas 1

Good game for the neutral, however after today I think I'll change my prediction for league 1 title as fort Lammas were a credit!!!

First half they were the much better side and went 1-0 through Matt Baxter.

Second half we were better side and equalised through a well struck goal from andy crossley, then went 2-1 up through myself won't dwell on it too much ( unlike johnno ) then 2 more from debutant.... Can't remember his name!!!

Good game good workout and good to redrup decent fella and had abit of banter also! Good luck for the season mate and good luck to Lammas, decent bunch of people.

Lammas 1 v 4 Chertsey Town

Very good run out today, we played our strongest team in the first half and played ok, Chertsey had a lot of trialists playing, Matt Baxter scored after half hour after Baldock robbed the Chertsey defender and crossed for the Lammas to go in at half time 1-0.

In the second Half Lammas made 9 changes, a couple of trialists and 5 of our new young guns came on against a decent Chertsey side, after only a few minutes Chertsey equalised, then Phil Page scored an absolute wonder goal, Chertsey then scored another and finished the game with a wonder strike.

Quite pleased with the effort the lads showed and I think Baldock and Baxter will be a force to be reckon with.

We are playing Ashford Town next week which will be another tough game.

Good luck to Spencer and the lads next season!

Phil Page Tekkers!!!
