Crawley Green reporter needed

Recommended Posts

Is there anyone that would be kind enough to put a few words together for the website on tomorrows game and possibly one or two other friendlies over the course of the next few games?

Due to various circumstances those of us on the regular web team are unable to cover some of the next few games.

Not asking for huge amounts, just coverage of any goals scores and any significant events.

Thanks.

From what I heard Mr Sliski, the trialists names are Ben, George and Harry I think... Ben played right back and looked very useful... George is young lad from Chesham, really strong tackler... The other Trialist, think he was called Harry, came on on the left side of midfield... Decent workout, the boys looked sharp, 25 yard screamers from Logie and Murphy!!! Impressed with Fred Cummings and how he seems to have worked on our midfield and forwards closing down when we don't have the ball, they were not running around like headless chickens, instead the were splitting players and forcing them into errors... Sippetts was the 2nd sub, only 13 players available, the remainder are on holiday or recovering from injury!!!

From what you've observed in one friendly match with only 13 players to choose from? You may end up being right - but pre-season is about experimentation and fitness.

We didn't play 3-5-2 today, started 4-3-3 and ended 4-4-2... We will start the season 3-5-2, and I couldn't be happier about... Think it would've suited the team for the last 2 seasons, made us harder to beat... No forward in this league would fancy going up against Brown, Bowden-Haase and Woozely!!!

At least one thing is sure - when Steve Bateman leaves, Cookham Rebel will be available to take over as manager as he has all the contacts, knows all the formations to suit which players we have, and has the verbal diarrhoea to keep the press happy with meaningless substanceless quotes.

well you may talk to who ever you want to but so far most of your "predictions" have not come true infact more of windsor rebels predictions have comre true, and that is saying something.

And if you know so much about football then you will know everyone involved with football atm wants to promote one main thing RESPECT, which from your last few posts you clearly have none of.

Personally, I have no problems with and have welcomed Cookham Rebel and his 'predictions' because IMO they have livened up what would have been a very boring forum.

As I've said before they are what they are, predictions/rumours and only fools would take them as gospel and if they don't come true, so what, no harm has been done.
