I notice Windsor have applied for the FA Cup. I didn't think newly formed clubs could enter. I am guessing this is just an application and that they may not get accepted. But then surely you would be advised not to bother applying or told you can't apply. Dont you have to play in the vase first? Can anyone help me I'm confused!!!

Think Smudge has asked the very same question before. Guess we will find out tomorrow.

Windsor were not accepted.

Accepted Clubs

BRILLIANT Bommie !

Are you doing the same for the FA Vase ?

Also the FA Trophy for JJ......................lol !!!

Yep, give me a little while. Moved your post though as I'd rather keep that thread tidy and then all chat etc can be in here?

EDIT: Post 1000 - yay go me ;)

How can you say your not bothered about not being in the fa cup. Chances are we wont make it again due to a poor season last year and will be gutted just like last time. Theres nothing bigger than the fa cup.

Just seen Bailer in Satines, nice little FA Cup draw you have!

N.L.N. will be over the moon. A home tie to boot,he of little faith.

Great for us to be involved after all the uncertainty this year and disapointment of not making it last year!!!

All we have to do now is find somewhere to play the tie................

Wood got 3 home draws!:dance (2):

Cup - Chessington & Hook

Vase - Dorking

Youth Cup - Erith Town

4 players on contracts this season though quite a few have left.

Some returning and an interesting new signing possible.:coffee (2):

I've added some info about the opponents in the pinned thread.

In the EPR there are 5 all-CCL ties, 4 against Sussex sides, 7 against Kent teams, 5 against Hellenic and 2 from the Wessex league.

So just looking at last year's league positions, I'd say Cove and Hanworth Villa have on paper good ties.

But it could be tough for Bedfont Sports, Bookham, Westfield and Warlingham who all play Step 5 sides.

Will be good to compare divisions as Camberley (4th last year) play Three Bridges (5th in Sussex) AND South Park v AFC Uckfield who were both promoted from Step 6.

With all due respect why would anyone playing for Colliers Wood, or even 90% of teams at this level, sign a contract?!!

I presume minimum wage must come in to this so would be interested to know how much the minimum weekly payment would be?

I believe you also have to include the players travelling time in their contracted payment. Minimum wage for probably 8 hours a week at least means approx 40-50 quid a player????

Like someone said before why would a player sign a contract at this level? Similarly why in the current economic climate are clubs at this level offering contracts???
