I understand FNE are playing on the park pitches on Grasmere Road? behind outhwood golf club. I would also suggest they wont fill any fixtures. i have heard they havent got a single player left from last year and of course last year they only retained 4 from the previous year!

Old Farnboronians are playing at Cody and FNE are playing at Southwood according to their secretary/chairman who I spoke to at the SEIL AGM. He told me they just want to keep the club going this year - that is the limit of their ambitions. He actually advised Old Farns to move in to Cody as FNE had a dispute there and owed money, so had no choice but move out. He also said that they made most of the changes to Cody and so had invested a lot of money in the site, including lights.

Tooting Bec have moved out of Grand Drive as far as I was aware - don't know where to though? They have got to have the new place OK'd by the League still I believe.

There are a few clubs that could go up with work on their grounds, then there are others that couldn't go up due to other sports on the ground (e.g. cricket). I think only Old Farns playing at Cody would be able to go up as we stand today.

The League have had a setback in their attempt to get official Step 7 accreditation and from what they were saying at the AGM they probably won't bother in future! Not sure that's the way forward and certainly not we've been told all the time we've been in the League.

Most of the existing step 7 leagues have had a setback. The FA have now started enforcing various regulations on leagues at this level regarding grounds and the teams in membership. Last season there were 42 official step 7 leagues endorsed by the FA. They've recently decided only two of those are 100% compliant with the regulations. The other 40 have until the end of March 2012 to become compliant or they'll have their status removed so, instead of adding more step 7 leagues where they're needed (Surrey & Yorkshire mainly), they've threatened a load of the current leagues with relegation out of the NLS.

It doesn't make much difference in promotion terms, the Surrey Elite and most of the others will still be at level 11 and able to provide clubs to step 6, but clubs in the affected leagues will have access to slightly less funding and they won't be able to enter the FA Vase unless the FA relax their rules a bit.
