Very hard to call yet, when we don't know all the squads. I think this year will be just as hard as the previous two years in this division. I think fighting out promotion/play off places will be Slough, St Neots, Daventry, Rugby, Aylesbury,Biggleswade and Leighton.

Then come the teams who will surprise and will be no push over and could be an outside bet. These will be Uxbridge, Burnham, Ashford, Northwood and Bedfont. I would have included Chalfont St Peter as a surprise package but as their two best players are on trials with Aldershot, I don't see them being such a threat without them.

Slough has a big disadvantage this year in the amount of derby games we have this year.

TBH I think we're all fighting for a play-off place behind St Neots. The whole set-up at St Neots seems to be way above anything else in this division.

As far as not knowing the squads, St Neots named their squad 3 weeks ago and they look to be stronger than last season.

I don't think anyone can say who will win the league, saying St Neots are favourites is probably right but being pre-season favourites and actually winning it is a completely different challenge. St Neots will not like going to places like Bedfont, Burnham, Ashford. They have kept the majority of their team from last season, and coming up and winning the league above won't be easy. I really think we will run them close, we look to have a strong determination amongst the squad.

St Neots may have named their squad three weeks ago but as they haven't played in the central division,it's not a foregone conclusion that they are going to set the division alight. We all seem to expect them to [myself included] but then again this raises expectations by the opposing teams and so they up their game and make more of a fight of it. Slough came unstuck plenty of times last year against supposed ' lower ' teams. St Neots can still do the same.

Sometimes these ' big ' signings any team makes, doesn't always add up to success and can lead to upsetting the balance and disrupting team unity.
