Jeff do they have to be in football kit. I could make enquiries about ROY CAIN through my bowling connections?

Any sort of photo would be great Geoff, ideally from around the time he was playing football, rather than in later life. Anything at all would be better than nothing though. I've just got an aversion to player profiles without pictures. Worst ones are the players who played some league football but I can't find pictures of. You'd have thought they'd be the easiest ones.

I have all manner of images scanned or in a folder waiting to be that you might be interested in. Lots of match reports from 2001 onwards, but also a few things from before. I've been sent stuff as well I need to scan you might be interested in 1996 - 2001.

 

I also have two Margate Ramsgate cup final programmes from the 1960s that have newspaper cuttings from the match, including pictures, one is of Ted Heath visiting the match. I cannot work out though which cut outs are for what match.

 

If you're interested I'd be happy to email, or send on CD everything I have. I may be at the Welling game, so if I get my butt in gear could have it for you then.

Thanks for the offer John but I've got the modern era covered - ie 1996 onwards. Just doesn't look that way as I haven't got that far with the website.

 

If there's any photos that didn't come from newspapers they might be useful though. Maybe send me an e-mail ?

 

The cup final programmes sound like they'd be for the 1967/68 Southern League Cup final.

Some great new stuff on Jeff's history website. Someone should pin this to the top so Jeff can put his "whats new" here. Hopefully the old nickname from 1929/30 will catch on for away games!

what i meant was a thread pinned where the whats new on the history site can be posted. I see there have been some new items added last week.

Hadn't noticed this was pinned - thanks but there's no need so feel free to let it drift back down the board. Won't be posting here about any updates to my site though, purely as I think if people are interested they know where to look.
