A Book About Margate FC

As some may have guessed by now, I am beginning to write a book about Margate FC.

 

The book will cover Chris Kinnear's first reign 1996 - 2006.

 

I have set up a mini network for people to submit anything they may wish and read and get involved.

I will be sending out fan and player memory questionnaires in the near future as well. I would like to garner peoples accounts of various things that happened at Margate between 1996 and 2006. I would also like to use peoples memories as a break between chapters.

 

I have already draft written 5000 words covering Chris's appointment until the end of the West Ham Centenary match, and have drafted out til the end of the 96/97 season.

 

I've also had an email from the club saying they are happy for me to do this book.

 

I really want people to get involved if they want, whether it be sending me memories, photos etc. You will of course receive acknowledgements for anything submitted.

 

I can scan anything and return if there are items you think should be included and you'd want returning.

 

I'm currently trying to attain as many match reports from 1996 - 2001 before the Official website archive kicks in.
