What player would you pick?

As ace is the manager at Knaphill I can see Jack is in good hands and will be well looked after.

How many very talented young players listen to fools and get fooled ?they disappear from football and end up lost to poor sunday football or just leaving the game, listen to people who dont actually care about the progression of tallent only there own egoes,i have moved many a good player on who was to good to be playing for me,but only when i belived it was right for them, when i arrived back at knaphill young jimmy norman was in the squad,a very good but raw talent, chertsey whom we sighned him from asked to take him back,i told jim he would be welcome to stay at knaphill but he belived he would progress quicker at chertsey,as he was a lad who just wanted to play and wasnt to interested in developing in the way i felt was best for him at the time,he ended up at westfield after comming back to me and taking my advise to sign for them,he was a great prospect but like a lot of kids had his head turned. The trouble today is as soon as you give a good young lad a chance in the first team they belive they are a first team player and that if they cant get into the first team at there current club the will at another, and every club will take a young lad with potential, they will also happily just bombe them into there resserve side or out of there club.

I am more then happy for jack ball to move to a club that will turn him into the type of player i belive him to be,but it grates on me a little when someone who knows nothing about the lad or the club he is with is trying to encourage him to actively move to another club because another manager regards him as a good player, you always have somthing to say about nothing,i understand that you only say things to provoke a response and wind people up but you are or could be messing around with a very young boys football future, jack does not need a football agent and he certanly doesnt need people like you giving him the wrong advise,as a man who preaches the wrongs and rights about swearing and how to behave when it come to kids,i suggest you stick to annoying the adults on here as you seem to be so good at it...................

Crikey, touched a nerve with my opinion, you need to calm down ACE. I know you want to keep Jack in your squad to help your push to go up next season, but listen, people like me giving him the wrong advice, I don't even know Jack personally so how the hell can I give him advice and trying to encourage him to actively move to another club.

Sorry ACE football can be a cruel world and the system will never change, once talent has been recognised, clubs will go after him thats a fact. Each club are greedy for their own sake as you are with Jack which I understand, but if a pro-club, Ryman club come in for Jack would you stand in his way ?

I think there is a bit of bandwagon jumping here. NICE GUY, gave an honest opinion, his opinion. it may be contary to ace, but its an opinion, yet we return to NG bashing, instead of getting deeper into a subject, that could touch any of us.this is as has been stated a forum.coffee%20%282%29.gif

As long as they are brought through in the right way nothing wrong with trying to better yourself. Suburban prem is great way to learn your trade.

I improved by playing above my level. As a 16 year old I went down Camberley, and although knowhere near good Enuf they kept me on and I kept learning off the senior players in my four years there. Now, because I learnt there, I can play this level (just about anyway lol) if Matie went to Hampton he would be taught how to play conf south football. His technical ability would increase and he wud get sharper. Got to be worth a shout.

Correct.... well said Luke ! I would imagine that at a higher level, player/s should be brought thru' in the correct manner.

Even after the coaching, if the player isn't quite upto the grade, he will have learnt good habits and maybe drop a league/division. so he will be good enough for that level, so its win win for the player, even if he returns back to the club he once came from, he'll be a better player and more effective than he was for the team.

In saying that though 'ace' had a fantastic point about youngsters just wanting first team football and just looking for that, not thinking about their development. I know of a couple of lads at a club I was at who were awesome, both 16, and have the potential to play up to conf south footy I wud guess (if developed the right way) problem is club pushed them into first team as soon as they realised they were capable of playing combined counties. That's great, but now their learning how to play combined counties football, and they'll sadly end up combined counties players. The suburban league helps players develop technical ability, awareness etc and teaches the lads how to play football at a higher level. The boys im talking about are desperatly looking for first team football, but they could play reserve football for an eatablished ryman club if they chose and that would develop them better in long term. If clubs had players interests at at heart they would not be so quick to push players through when another year of development could give them a much better chance of doing well in football....

tho they lost might i add to our own youth ;) thought he played very well maybe he needs to be nurtured a lil before even playing in knaphills first team!!!

Dessie (Lyndon ?) I believe you may follow E & E so I can understand that those 2 will probably be playing for E & E next season, with Bedj Bedj being one of the most skilful player in the CCL Premier and Burns a useful goalscorer so not a bad choice.......

NICE GUY I am a supporter of Epsom & Ewell (for my sins)and although I know he visits this forum from time to time I can confirm that Lindon and I are not the same person,I do know that Robby Burns has signed for next season because its on the website, and I will keep my fingers crossed for Ramzi signing on as well,I know that Lindon is also an admirer of the infamous Mr Johnny judo, although he probably wont thank me for telling everyone

I have to agree with TF. As stated above, Bedj Bedj is one of the most skilful players I have seen in the CCL over the last 2 seasons there's no doubting that, but at CCL standard he is a luxary 'cos his workrate is somewhat to be desired when I've watched him. Nevertheless, I personally think if he goes up a level he will be more suited with better players around him to allow for his skill and luxury.

Again having seen Robbie Burns on a few occasions, I believe he was injured for a long term last season. Again another goal poacher in line with Cooper (old AFC), Pomroy but workrate is not on their agenda. But !.....if they worked harder, would they get as many goals as they do .................interesting ?

you can't put Duffs and Ramsi in the same sentence, what are you talking about,I wouldn't spend all night shouting at one player that would have to be some sort of abuse my job is to look out for the whole squad not one player, are you another one who comes on here trying to promote yourself but we can't actually debate with you properly again because we don't know who you are either, this is a reply not a chomp so if you want a debate please come back with something sensible otherwise forget it.

now let me tell you Jeff you can't decide what a bite is on your own maybe you have been reading the wrong peoples posts, a bite is only deemed as one if it goes before the bite panel and they say that it is,hope thats cleared it up for you now if you want my last reply to be considered as a bite will you have to ask the bite panel to deliberate, please.
