All correct .... another good performance, every player played well and Romford who were fourth in the league and had recently beaten Dag & Red were just blown away.

Team for those interested, the Management going for a system with wingbacks again and leading goal scorer on the bench (ruthless this lot)

In Goal McMahon

Back 3 Riley, Cross, Davies

Wingbacks Attwood, Jones

Midfield Moore, Parsons, Perfect

Strikers Cogger, Marshall

On the Bench, Collins (Cogger 75), Hull, Reid, Atkinson (Marshall 65)

Disappointing crowd but it was cold (or so I keep being told by some southern softies, who insist on wearing gloves) and of course a lot of people had travelled to Hornchurch the night before, but to put everyone in the picture, last night we took £60 on the gate, match officials cost £85. So if a dozen more people come to watch, assuming they all pay <img src="/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" /> then we would be in a situation of breaking even.

Lets try at the next home game, Saturday 4th October v Canvey Island, 2nd round of the cup. I would imagine they are going to bring their second first eleven for this one !!

First team are away at Harrow I believe, CZ, how spooky is that. You predicted these fixtures some 6 weeks ago. Can you let have some numbers for the lottery please then we will see things change.

Have you considered doing some fund raising?

If Knocky did a scratch card, would the proceeds go to the Reserves?

Laz, good points but ...

fund raising already started. Donations to date of £160 most of which has now gone, a promise of £200 still to be recieved, sponsor a rerserve for £25 underway, we have a quiz night planned in association with The Supporters Club and lots lots more, but the more interest we can attract on match days the better. If this happened we could then consider a scratch card, which we currently have a stock of, but have not used so far as most people come to watch and then go home leaving behind the hardcore......well okay, me, HKS, VJ and recently Cookie.

See you Saturday

Sir Zeal.....arise

After watching ressies for the first time I believe it was you who came on this board and stated - "if there was a choice of first team away v Harrow Borough or reserves at home v Canvey on a wet and windy Tuesday evening, no contest (or words to that effect, plus you did get the day wrong so I'll ignore the choice of numbers)

A drink on Saturday ?
