you staying at wars milesy < agree with you mate think savage will make eversley a lot better team this year

Reading between the lines there Milesy. If you have signed for Banstead well done, good player, good move and good luck.

or eversley?

Thanks YV, appreciate the comment. But no, havent signed for anyone yet. Had a couple of sessions at a club but still undecided. Like to think Wars is still an option but ideally wouldnt mind getting back up the leagues, however with the standard increasing every year in both the CCL Prem/Div 1, you cant always be picky nowadays unless you have contacts.

Have a feeling Banstead will have a good season with GB there and Eversley most definitely with Sav (if I know what he has got them doing pre season!)

Decision time soon though, so we shall see....

To be honest i think most people here at Windsor ( although they wont admit to it) will be disappionted not to be close to the top come the end of the season! With the same managment team that won the Southern League Div 1 having already signed 3 of the league winning side and rumours of a couple more to follow they look as if they mean business!!!

Sparky, do you know it makes me laugh when I hear words spoken from Windsor FC that they have little or no budget.

I have been in this non-league game for a long time now, and those who inform us about the budget being what it is yet can attarct the players of the calibre mentioned above, someone is trying to pull the wool over our eyes !

Why would a player getting 'x' amount in the Southern League want to drop down a League/Division for near on nothing, behave ! ......what for the love of Windsor and the manager, yes players may well like the manager but will also like the bucks and that's why everyone tips Windsor because we are not that dumb, there's money at Windsor thats for sure and the manager's brief is to get promotion, and with that budget he should otherwise he'll be for the chop....it's pressure time !

It wouldn't surprise me if the management and players are all getting paid within the budget of @ £1500.00 per week ! With that budget, you are looking top 10 (even higher) of the Ryman Div. 1/Southerm League Div. 1 let alone winning the CCL Premier !!!

You heard here first folks............watch this space, all will be revealed....eventually LOL !

I have to agree with everything you say Nice Guy! there's no way the managment and players would be signing on a small budget it just dosn't happen! Now if i said that on the Windsor forum i would get slated! inbeteener the players that have signed so far are the goalkeeper Rob Bullivant, left back Ryan Parsons and left sided midfielder Joe Chandiram! Lets just hope the new chairman has got a grip on things this time!

Whoa ... We have no idea of the budget other than what we have been told which is it's appropriate for the Division and I wouldn't imagine it was anything close to 1500 per week. We have signed 3 senior players all of whom have spent a lot of their career at Windsor especially Ryan Parsons (the other for those interested are Joe Chandiram and Rob Bullivant). For all we the fans know we may end up with a youth squad filling in now and that's it.

I don't believe anyone at Windsor is thinking to win the division Just a club and a competitive showing is all we the fans want after no football for what seems an eternity (its a funny thing getting your Saturdays back... still DIY done and house is looking good) smilewinkgrin.gif

I think everyone is getting ahead of themselves... with winning the Div and huge budgets... really? To be fair at the moment we can only field 3 players!

Chandiram left because he wasn't getting first team football I believe, the issues with paying the players of Windsor and Eton FC was the straw that broke the camels back as they say. I will say his name was a surprise to me too but he's a good player so i'm not going to complain.

This may be a bit harsh as it's early days but are Windsor the new Farnborough?

I sincerely hope not but if they carry on signing players like the ones they've already got then it'll appear going out of business has taught them nothing.

It's mental that Farnborough FC who are only four years old are posting yearly losses well into six figures and I know they've got at least six ccj's fior unpaid bills currently hanging over them. This information is available for anyone to see online. They clearly haven't learnt from the past.

Milf, Feltham will be very strong this season they have signed 5 of the players that I had at Bedfont Sports last year and I would say that they are all IMO the best players in there position in Div 1, in Guv you a have guy who has amazing contacts and knows his Stuff that's why IMO the top 3 this season will be Staines Lammas, Feltham and Worcester Park, in no particular order.

Lammas are back this season and we are hungry for promotion. I think it will be the closest league ever.

who have feltham signed ?

Nobody yet signed, should be making some signings next week, cant say we will get promoted but think we will cause some shocks and if them shocks bring us in the top 3 then great..... are aim is the top half so 9th or above, Were in the same boat as Sheerwater really.

I would say the pitch we use this season will be in the top 3 in the league(Bedfont Towns) along with Eversley and Westfield so will be a great place to play this season

Dear Joel, I certainly am not getting ahead of myself. I really admire your loyalty and rightly so. I know 2 of the 3 players named Chandiram and Bullivant decent players, certainly good enough for CCL Premier and don't think they would come too cheaply, I don't know about Parsons. I very much doubt Windsor will be fielding many youth team players especially if Windsor want immediate promotion, which I would have thought the club would want, so we await more new signings on the way. - Do you think the club just want stability in the CCL Premier......? Not too sure about that irrespective whats banded about !

One thing I will tell you, do not underestimate the teams in the CCL Premier. Remember, the likes of clubs with bigger player budgets for example Chertsey, Guildford, Badshot Lea and Egham, all the other clubs see them as 'scalps' as Windsor, being who and what they were will experience the same, but if you have good enough signings for the CCL level you should be in the mix come the end of the season.

I for one am looking forward to going to Stag Meadow again to see what type of team you have, 'cos it's been a while since I last visited......... nice club, people and fans........and a massive pitch if I recall rightly ............lol !!!

Nice Guy,

The Fans want stability and a club for the fans again. From the signing of Keith Scott as manager then promotion is clearly the plan for the upcoming season (or the vase?!?!). Scott is a winner and hungry for success and will do what it takes to get it. The players signed played under Scott, Bullivant has apparently wanted to come back for a while, not surpised Joe is back as Scott rated him and Parsons is an old Wycombe contact of Scott's and I would say the best left back I saw in our promotion season.

As for budget, I would say it will be comensurate with a promotion team, but I totally agree with you that there will be a lot of tough games and few teams looking to go up as a done deal. Didn't AFC Wimbledon fail to win at this level as well, nuff said.

As for money issues, our new owner has a plan to build 3G pitches and make the club self funding. I believe that was the only reason he agreed to invest money in the club, so that it could stand on its own moving forward (3-5 year plan). If that works and is well managed (and that is an IF of course) then Windsor will be in a very strong position and should not become the new Farnborough.

But lets wait for the season to start first and take one step at a time,be good to visit some new grounds and hopefuly meet some new friends along the way.

Oh, and our pitch used to be a lot wider, but was brought in a fair few years ago, so not as big as maybe you remember......

Thanks Fuzzy, so you are alledgely in agreement that the budget will be sufficient to get promotion, so the figure of @ £1500 should easily suffice to say that Windsor FC are going for it and not just stabilise. Yes AFC took 2 seasons to get out of the CCL and what a good 2 seasons for the rest of the CCL clubs 'cos of the AFC support.

Whilst I appreciate the Windsor support is none of AFC Wimbledon, the club still have a good following (well used to years ago) and I would have thought that those supporters who left the club will return. Fuzzy what was Windsor average home attendance and how many supporters travelled ? The good thing for you guys, the other grounds will be a maximum of 1 hour away (on a good day) so that should enhance your away support in knowing that, altho' whilst alot of the CCL clubs are doing their utmost to improve their ground, some are still left to be desired (no disrespect to CCL clubs) so that may come as a shock, but when you arrive at these grounds, rest assured you will be welcomed and greeted by some really nice people who work tirelessly to bring thie club upto scratch so you guys should not disrespect these clubs when you visit.

Trust me Fuzzy you will meet some really nice CCL supporters along the way, but do not be surprised of the away support of some of the CCL clubs, this your club should bare in mind 'cos there are not that many unfortunately.

Good luck with journeys to Guildford's 'Spectrum' and Croydons ' Arena' ....... !!!
