Darron Wilkinson

How does this man get in the team every week? He is absolutly poor, he has no pace, not skill, no delivery but yet he is first choice over players like Payne, Steer and Hyatt? The only thing Wilkinson is good at is lunging two legged into challenges and getting booked. Does he even deserve a place on the bench?

Must agree with Alocove Man, I would rather see us move on and play the younger, more talented and exciting players like Steer and Harris. I agree they need time, but will only improve by playing matches. Wilkinson has had his day, he brings nothing to the team now. His asset was his mobility between the penalty boxes, now his pace has gone and his tackling is late and clumsy. In my opinion he is a liability. With Barras now back in midfield, with his ability we no longer need Wilkinson in this area, and he is out of place at fullback.

Not only that but my point is Wilko is a central midfield player and Steer and Harris should be on the flanks. Stop messing around with Barras in midfield when he is a class full back, drop one of the forwards and revert to 4-4-2. Then we can have Harris, Steer and Wilko in the same team.

Alcovio, with our squad at the moment, Wilko is definitely many people's choices as one of the first names on the team sheet. Commitment, passion, pride, work rate and bite are all his major strengths and reasons in why he should be in the team. He simply adds things that no-one in else in the squad has at present. Three appearances this season in the Slough side, three wins...

Wilko's job is to be the enforcer of the team, winning the ball, distributing it to the flair players and sit back to give the defence cover. And he does that better than any other player in the squad. I've not found Barras in midfield this season very encouraging and was mostly anonymous on Tuesday night. With Haddow avoiding the FA Cup I expect to see him back at left back where his ability should shine through.

Just out of curiosity Alcove, who would you have as your midfield 4?

Is that right to left?? I don't think Hyatt is fit enough for the 90 minutes, nor do I think Harris is good enough to play in the centre. He appears to be more of a wide player. Of that midfield four though, if Barras is on the left, there's no bite in the centre of midfield to try and win the ball back.
