SSMFL Summer 2011 Gossip Column

Aylesbury United's 27-goal utility man Lea Coulter is rumoured to have moved back down a step to Ampthill Town

It may seem a step down now,but not next season when we're up there playing in the Prem!!!!

Big statement i know, but quietly confident going into the start of the season.:futbolbud2:

I couldn't be near a bloke like that let alone play footy with him

Winslow Boy - To be fair he must have been desperate to do what he did, I'm not defending him but we still don't really know what drove him to do it and his motives do we

Read the article! It says because he wanted to get out of a training session, once he had made the disgusting lie I guess he felt he had to keep it up.

He obviously didn't mind spending the money on himself though so he couldn't have been that troubled by his actions, which makes it even worse when you consider that was money raised by team mates!!

Rhodes you never surprise me unfortunately. More proof you're an idiot and a scum bag

Like I said I was not defending Carmichael in the slightest but what's the difference to what he did and Stephen Ireland at the end of the day

Well I think what Stephen Ireland did was equally as bad, he's far more high profile than Carmichael yet just got a slap on the wrist

Did anyone see him play for Berko last season?

Yes, he played against our AFC Dunstable team and purposaely took out our keeper Nick Gardner, advertising the fact that he was taking our keeps out, and Nick ended up being rushed to hospital, didnt play for 2 months...nice bloke

Really....did Man City/Ireland players all chip in and give him some money which he then went out and spent on himself?

That's why he was taken to court - obtaining money by deception.

You think its far worse to say that he had to go to his grandmothers funeral than saying your young daughter died of throat cancer to miss a training session then collect money off teammates and supporters????? Really???

Please keep going Rhodes, that hole is getting awfully deep and dark now.....

Odd that no-one from Cranfield has actually confirmed or denied this or commented on it.

As of now I don't believe he is signed on at Cranfield

What the future holds is anyone's guess

Thanks for the post mate, surely you wouldn't want someone like this at a good club like yours?

I'm glad you are of the opinion we are a good club. Like everywhere else there is some people who work very hard to provide us with the opportunity to play football at such great facilities etc.

Back on topic,

Just to state clearly that this is my own opinion and not an official line from the club....

I didn't know the bloke at all. Never met him previously and never knew about the past.

I have read all of the stories and various opinions from people on here.

My view was very much that he made a mistake and was punished for it. I don't think that anyone can condone his actions, but I believe everyone deserves a second chance in life.

I've since met him and not had any issues so far. He's cracked on with training and in a couple of games. The club are trying to improve the playing staff and he would be an improvement for us.

I respect everyone's opinion on here and appreciate that mine seems to be in the minority but would rather be clear on my views than sitting on the fence or trying to mix things up.
