As they have 3 other strikers capable of scoring 20 plus goals, I think they will be ok!!! Anthony has been replaced by another level 4 midfielder, so all good.

A couple of defenders from Berko . Cranfield will have a decent team this year judging by their signings so far

 

 

IF the keeper and back four that have played in the psf so far ( and they didnt play v Bletchley!) have all signed, Cranfield will have a decent defence this season.

Reynolds is enjoyable to watch - great feet - but a lazy bugger!

 

I am looking forward to following the fortunes of Cranfield this season and think a top 8 finish is a possibility

 

Are you involved at Cranfield or are you just going to spend a lot of time watching the games? It would be nice to get an actual opinion on the situation rather than a "googled" one

I am not part of the management at Cranfield - but i will be spending a lot of time watching them -, so i dont think it is down to me to say for definite who has signed ( hence the IF in my original post) and i only assume Reynolds has signed because you said so in another post.

 

My ' ungoogled' opinion, for what it is worth, is that Cranfield will try to play football and they will be the most competetive they have been for a long time, IF all the players on show in psf sign

Lee has worked very hard to get the club to where it is, and he deserves the results now as it is a results buisness, guess anything than flirting with relegation is an improvement without sounding disrespectful...however.I think definately top half which if you think Lee said give him 3 years is an obvious step in the right direction, and who am I to heap pressure on him, the village and Lee deserve to be successful, but like he says, at a steady pace.......although on the 16th of next month.....will I am afraid be in the other corner (except when Lee is buying a round after that is)

Don't you think the loss of the two centre halves (Cramichael brothers) and Power at right back will have an effect? Armstrong, although overweight, is a top prem standard goalscorer - much better than the others including Bunker who also looked overweight. And if you think Usmani, Bennett wil score 20+ I would be very surprised. Page will be much missed as he was the key to Berko's midfield. Only good news is Mitch Hamilton coming back from injury.

 

Berko have a much worse squad than last season and I see them battling at the bottom end of the table.

Hi - i generally only read this forum however i thought i would give you an update on Cranfield. By the way i am the joint manager Pat Booden.

 

I know Lee used to post and let you all know what was happening but he became increasingly frustrated how topics become twisted. When Lee and I took the managers job after DC packed it in we had such a big job not only on the playing side but with support within the club, we knew that the first full season would be very tuff fielding generaly an u18 team. Obviously this proved correct. Although great improvement was made building bridges and gaining support.

Lee - has worked so hard improving the facilities over the last 18 months and im sure anyone visiting will see a big improvement. This season we obviously wanted to attract a lot of new players and we have been fortunate in securing the signatures of quite a few players that have been quite successful.

 

Yes Stuart Reynolds has signed as have the following Sean Buxton from Bedford town Res, Paolo Aquila ( Berko & Pitstone) George Armstrong ( Margate & a couple of UCL prem sides) If things go to plan we will also be announcing at least another 4 or 5 signings very soon.

 

Yes we are in discussion with 2 defenders from Berko - 1 midfield player from Berko - and a forward and midfield player from Bedford Town.

yes true lol !! but other than stu i assume knowone would know the other players as they are all pretty young ( other than George Foreman) and really just starting out. Hey we will see if they prove good signings in the next fewmonths. As for other new signings , quite a few local teams are chasing the same players so we will have to see but i expect we will be working with our confirmed squad as of next week.
