Football's back

Recommended Posts

Hopefully we have'nt been put off football too much by watching the England U21's play in the Euro Comp in Denmark.

Enfield Town U18's play their first friendly this Sunday the 26th kick off at 10am at the Tesco Country Club in Waltham Cross. They will be playing White Hart Rapid's U19's.

The better U18's will of course be playing in our reserve and FA Youth Cup matches this coming season. So it's a footballing Sunday on the 26th, our U18's/reserves playing at 10am and Del Deanus's fund raising event at the Met Police Bushey ground at 2pm, at last proper sport back on the agenda.

I would have gone to Del's match but The Ladies section have their 5 aside tournament on the playing field next to the QE stadium.

Don't FA rules forbid fixtures in June? or did that all change with the Womens' Super League?

Not sure they still do as Fulham have a Europa league match on 30th June.

Our new Under 16's team has been playing practically a tournament every weekend since the middle of May. The one at Thurrock the other week was particularly enjoyable as the two teams entered both made the final after knocking out two Grays Athletic Academy sides.

And for good measure the U18's won the Ryan FC 7's comp with both sides entered reaching the final to face each other. It was agreed not to play the final as it would not actually benefit us having ETFC v's ETFC. but it's looking positive. We are looking forward to the FA Youth Cup draw.

Don't forget to come and see some of our sides in 5 aside action on The playing fields next to the Donkey Dome.

Boys on Saturday with Girls and Women on Sunday.

Exactly the same as with th Under 16's. Didn't play the final as we had won the trophy irrespective of the result.

No doubt the FA will ban all four sides for not fullfilling their fixtures!

No No No, We called Jack Warner up before hand and he said it is well within all rules.............................................as he knows them, ten, twenty, thirty, forty, fifty........................................................:)

Sepp was heard to say that he would be bringing in a top man to investigate. It appears that it will be Maradonna because he can 'handle' anything thrown at him!:dance (2):

Just to let everyone know, our trial match v's White Hart Rapids which included 4 of our last season reserve players in Izci Eren, Cem Aytac, Dogan Agac (now at Gray's Athletic) and Mustafa Denizer (Now with Ilford 1st team), the U18s/Trialists won 3-2 in very warm conditions.

A good work where we picked up 3 new players who impressed very much.

Our 5 aside tournaments over the weekend also went well and thanks to Steph for his help with the Marquee.
