last night's showing , we can't win this league

Firstly, I did eventually manage to struggle home, I didn't realise there was buses still available after home matches.

Secondly and finally I've got to say that the team is simply not gelling well enough to sustain a championship run. I thought our back four were far too slow and kept getting done by their strikers far too much & they need to learn when to spring the offside trap.

Who is the short midfielder, is he new, he had a good game and look like he could play at a higher league?

Anyway, I hope we can learn from last night and get back to winning ways.

Good tip for you travelling to Cranham for free !

[color:"blue"] Go to Upminster Bridge Stn and walk through free as no staff around. Take District line Eastbound to Upminster. Get off and walk to the East end of platform 1a where you will find a hole in the wire mesh fence. this leads out to an allyway very close to Cranham. If you get caught though ... I No Nuthing. I think what he meant was this league is going to be difficult to win and so therefore the team needs to be firing on all cylinders (sic???) for every game. We can't afford to lose games and play as we did against Billericay as we will slip up. If we start thinking certain games are going to easy than we will take our foot off the pedal and get overtaken by, God help us, Kettering.

Hmmm

A couple of purchases are required before we can think of the dizzy heights of winning the league.

We need a couple of strikers, the sooner Steve Jones is back the better. Andy Douglas should look to a lower league, seen him a few times now and he is easily marked out of a game.

The team need a hard working midfielder who encourages the team, Jon Keeling had a poor first half on Tuesday and it showed, subs at Half time made a huge difference and it showed in the second half. No point in blaming the ref about the result, if we can't put the ball in the back of the net, we won't win any games or even the league.

[color:"blue"] You cannot say that after a few games Douglas should go. He's only played a few games, scored one and set up the 1st against Stortford. He is very fast and a good striker, he seems to be lacking a little match fitness but as many know who have been watching Ryman Football, Douglas is a class striker. As with the rest of the team at the moment G Borg is trying to build a team and one capable of gaining promo in a short space of time, a very hard juggle but he's doing a good job of it. Players will adapt to other players in time and Douglas will slot in well. This is the problem with people that have started to follow the team. They forget we had to do the best with what we had 18 months ago. The problem next will be when you get people who want a player out when he has a bad day. [/color]

First everyone complains when players all go, now some want a player who hasn't been given a chance to go !

I thought he worked well with Vinnie against Thurrock and Basingstoke.

I do feel that Vinnie is a must start upfront if he is fit, we really seemed to miss his knock ons strength in the air and ability to hold play up on Tuesday.

Chill, I was born vertical.

Jon Keeling is a good player, as I said it showed in the team, when he had a poor half.

Sixth in this league at this time is an excellant start, considering that there are only about ten points between the first 15 teams and every team has lost a few matches.

I hope Andy Douglas does improve and scores some proper goals, we shall wait and see.
