I've known about this for a while but to prevent things going tits up for the club, I refrained from saying anything on here. I knew about this because I work with Liams brother. A quality signing should CK pull it off and a good future prospect.

Its been in the public domain for about 10 days now (indeed-someone posted on this forum the same thing about a week ago-where's that gone ? )-but as all the articles directly refer to -and wellsie indirectly refers to-its not sorted yet-and there is nothing to stop another club stepping in meanwhile-so i guess Wellsie is right when he says 'nothing has actually happened

Isn't the issue really that Folkestone want a fee for Friend & CK/Margate don't want to pay one?

Hence a 3 week stalemate.

If no one else comes in for Friend then Cugley has the dilemma of whether or not he wants a player in his squad who really wants away - which is why CK is willing to wait.

I spoke to a work colleague at Ashford today who supports Folkestone Invicta & he said that ROLAND EDGE was joining us too. I must stress though that nowhere has this been mentioned so he may possibly be mistaking him for LIAM FRIEND perhaps or that its just a rumour.Just thought I'd mention it thats all.

Time will tell I suppose on whether both or either or none of the two will be joining us.
