Bicknell at Ampthill

Recommended Posts

I know 5 figure sums have been quoted and that's fact.

With most clubs attracting gates of between 30-60 a home game then some people must have a right bee in their bonnet to turn down such generosity.

Assurances in football? dont think they exist.

As someone said they were worried about a takeover and Padbury aquiring a new ground for nothing, especially as the rumour all over MK is thats the plan anyway.

I was only going by this post by Ref Off Ref, if Craig Bicknell is in sole control at Ampthill Park then I assume that Steve Tucker is not onboard

I can confirm that as from last thursday that steve goodridge stood down as joint manager.as a result of this I got the job as number 1 with steve and tucker working along side me.

I would like to confirm, that rather than step down, i have had a long lengthy chat with Craig & am stepping aside to work with him & Tucker as our coach. We bounce ideas off eachother & have the upmost respect for 1 another & what we can bring to the club. We both have individual qualities that we bring. Craig with his man management skills, discipline, drive & enthusiasm, & me with my experience at this & higher levels, devotion to the club & football brain, believe we can take this club to new heights. Add that to the quality that Tucker brings as a coach, & i think we have an exciting season ahead.

We are all extremely ambitious, are buzzing in pre-season & if the players are even half as committed as us 3 are, then we are in for a gr8 season!! With 2 :yay: forwards hitting hat-tricks in the last 2 games, the south mids defenders might have their work cut out!

Shame that Goodridge had to step away from being manager.

I know he has done alot for Ampthill football club. I think alot of people knew the joint manager thing wouldnt work and they where right. Just over a month into pre season Ampthill have lost there original coach and manager. Next your be telling us the chairman has left and Phil Smith has taken over.
