Provisional 2011/12 Squad List

There is a provisional Squad List for 2011/12 at http://www.margate-fc.com/content/1st_team/squad.php.

 

Please note that this is just a provisional list based on the fact that anyone who has not yet left has been invited to pre-season training by Chris Kinnear. This may well change over the coming weeks.

 

Last Seasons squad has now got it's own link on the navigation menu and is a complete list of everyone who featured last term, by position, with the 'Gone but not forgotten section removed.

Always one of CK's traits-no-one really knows in pre-season who is signed and who is'nt- apart from the likes of Pooley , robinson,wilson(possibly contracted),turner (posibly contracted ),bradbrook who i think are all contracted.

 

I guess others may follow-but surely the players need a bit of security knowing if they willl get contracts or not.

Therefore-i suspect they will be talking to/appraoched by-a host of other clubs and many who we would like to see stay-may in fact leave.

 

CK always seemed to get there in the end-but always seemed a risky/odd approach to me.

 

Surely there is someone trsuted (kevin raine ?) who can re-assure CK that certainly the likes of Cloke,rogers, grrombridge and hill are most certainly good enough,and get them signed up sharp

 

Can someone also remind CK that apart from wilson-and the potential of Lagiano,there are no midfield players whatseover at the club

Michael, maybe you could contact CK to mention the midfielders as I doubt CK will be aware of the situation. That's the trouble with these novice managers.

Pooley will be a good signing for us with curtis playing at center half and pooley coming in can see someone moving on with the likes of ball/cloke/hill/groombridge/osbourne cant see them all staying plus the budget of course

Prefer 5-4-1;but i do also recall CK likes to build from back first and get the defence sorted which is much better .

It's good to know that the local media are keen to speculate about what might happen at Margate for next season, but as ever, any factual information will be announced on the official site first if / when there is some. At the moment, there definitely isn't!

It also goes on to say that as there will be a fee involved it will probally go to a tribunal so it will take some time.

 

By the way it is not idle gossip as some people would like to insinuate but all the quotes are from Cugley.
