Sad day at Cove football club yesterday as Jonno has decided to leave us,from the day he joined us he has been admirable both on and off the pitch and will be very difficult to replace,I can understand him wanting to go as the offers for him have come in thick and fast from teams in this league and teams from higher leagues,Good luck to you mate you will always be welcome back if ever you decide to return.

I will not believe it,until we hear from the Great Man himself.

no doubt David will come on here and confirm but alas it is true,I can honestly say that without him I don't think we would have enjoyed the success we've had in the last 3 years,he has led us to victory in 3 cup finals and a runners up spot and we have always done well in the league with him captaining the side, big loss for us not just on the pitch but off it behind the scene he is a great organiser and loves the crack.

Official Statement from Chertsey Town Fc

'We welcome the 'signing' of David Johnson to the Club. We approached 'Johnno' last year but his wage demands plus a Mercedes club car and a holiday home in Barbados were too much. We are pleased that he has lowered his demands and are delighted to have him. Any car would be better that that blue Subaru......!'

Looking forward to working with you and thankyou to Cove for their understanding

Nice Guy,you must learn to read my posts more carefully,my comments were that when you use ALLEDGELY/L.O.L. they are not facts you know.Because you omitted them words from your post above,it gave more credence to your post.Which turned out to be true.
