That's awful.

My heart goes out to you.

I know it's expensive but you have to look at serious measures to deter the little bastards. CCTV / barbed wire / alarm systems possibly linked to a local security firm who'll get there quick etc. Or get a [****!!****]-off sized dog with big teeth.

It's hard but you have to try and keep your head up or else the scrotes have won.

1) I have already suggested to the Police we install razor-wire around the ground. That went down like a lead-balloon. Apparently, this could INJURE the little sh1ts !

2) My youngest daughter owns one of the largest male Rotties you're ever likely to meet. I trained him as a pup. I suggested that I was quite willing to walk him round the ground in the evenings, even sleeping over with him.... 'NO - You can't do that !! ' Due to 'Elf and Insanity' laws, mainly thanks to the bl00dy European Court of Human Rights, if Beau DID have a little nibble at one of the Chavs back-sides, it would be ME in court.

Regarding the latest incident, the police have been informed, but I'm certainly not holding my breath !!

YOU COULDN'T MAKE IT UP, COULD YOU ??

Was thinking game at dorking mate , then they get a bit of bar takings and entry money only a thought ,

Good idea Nut.

Nut, I'm not sure if your work committment allows, but as a goodwill gesture, perhaps you maybe able to assist BJR, Bucker and Dorking with their vandalised pitch area which newly laid turf had been ripped up ?

Get Plod down to fingerprint it,they may have previous.

No chuffing point. I feel sorry for Dorking and for all clubs whose members put their sweat and toil into getting their clubs up square only for some brainless dickheads to trash it. We've had the same type of problem at Egham Town for years. We have our wall round the pitch pushed in (they must grow the idiots strong round Egham) regularly along with the usual inane graffiti. One Saturday some nob was told not to cycle inside the ground, but did just that to show what a man he was. I yelled something like "Oil, dickhead, are you deaf?" only for the Bennetts (who run the club and therefore have to foot the bill for the damage) to tell me to stop, because the guy knows others who could cause more damage. On the night we played Staines Lammas in the League Cup I did not dare park where I usually go because there was a herd of hoodies in the way; later that night one of them threw a firework over the clubhouse end stand. Fortunately it landed outside the pitch area. Police arrived en masse (well, two cars and, I think, a van) and then we had the Egham version of kettling when another local pillock decided to padlock the gates. Happily Danny Bennett is a mean hand with an angle grinder.

The club have contacted the local police at various levels (local liaison officers, full time officers, you name it) and the damage still continues. When the houses in Charta Road were demolished for the newer builds I hoped that the new residents would relish having a fairly decent club on their doorstep. Wrong; for the most part it seems to be complete indifference.

The point, if there is one, is that, as another poster noted, we have to carry on whenever we can or the idiots will win. I seem to recall Marine FC and Wythenshawe Amateurs having problems and I think the latter have since folded. Apologies if this is wrong.

Good luck to DFC in their particular battle - and to all other clubs in the same situation.

Dont worry Buckers i hear you have been busy putting together a top side that will be pushing the top half rather than the bottom half of the league this year.im sure this little setback wont stop you being the surprise team team this year...........

Terrible and all the other words like it.

I hope whoever it was is caught. Maybe some real justice should be brought in to scum like this ... either a public flogging in the high street or made/forced to repair all the damage they caused, then if it happens again ensure they are made to repair it over and over until they get it stopped.

Good luck on th reapirs and good luck on finding the little to55pots!

EDIT:

The old bill are about as much use a chocolate fireguard.

When we were burgled the dumb plod walked in and moaned that couldn't do anything. I pointed out the footprint on the floor he shrugged, After explaining his job to him he walked out the WPC actually filed the report to the Crime Scene officers and they walked in took one look at the foot print and said great, ... Proves that 90% of the plods are more interested in being Starsky and Hutch then Dixon of Dock Green.

I have spoken to Sam and he has been in touch with Lee Wilmot, Sports reporter for the Advertiser who is based in Redhill. He has already contacted Bucks and is having a meeting with him on Monday, as I understand it.

I'm giving myself a further 24 hours to compose myself before I make my statement to the Advertiser. Maybe the red mist will have dropped a little by then.

Those of you that know me personally will know that I would probably advocate building a framework against the goal-posts, and publicly flogging the mindless scum.

However, under our new European super nanny-state.............................

Disgusting!!!! As long as you get the warning signage right you can crack on with the razor wire. Bottom line is the plod should encourage anything that keeps their crime figures down! And thinking about what the club does to help the community and to help keep youngsters off the streets. Gets me fuming this sort of stuff-fecking good hiding needed, thats how we all learnt not to do it again!!

Good luck for the future and like everyone has said don't give in to the little sh!ts!!!!

Easy there KS :)

We had a problem many years ago when we had strong army connections. One of the Reserve Players (I think) offered to lock his Army Dog in the clubhouse for a few nights and see what happened. Wisely we didnt take him up on the offer !!!!

Like everyone else has said dont give in to them. That goes for every club and that includes Egham Tempestward ;)
