What level is the Suburban League classed as?

I do believe suburban prem is same as combined prem so step 5

Steps = steps on the pyramid. The Suburban League is not in the pyramid.

There have been many anorak hours creating this page which may help.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/English_football_league_system

Note that that's based on levels starting with the Premier league at number 1.

The non-league pyramid is where 'steps' are used. That runs from step 1 to step 7 and each league is allocated to a specific step by the FA.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_league_system

The Suburban League isn't part of either system as it's a stand alone league that doesn't promote or relegate to other leagues.

In refereeing terms, The Suburban Premier is the same level as the Combined Counties Premier. The Suburban North and South are the same as CCL1.

In Surrey FA terms, the whole of the Suburban League is put at the same level as CCL1 teams in the county (Premier) cup. This is because most of the Suburban first teams play in the Senior Cup and reserves always play a cup lower than first teams in Surrey.

Hope that doesn't come across as too geeky. Having said that, I am a quarter geek so I can't help it.

For anyone who has played in suburban prem Like myself will agree that teams are eqaul to combined prem sides, maybe not better than the top six, but that why I said it's like a step 5, yes it's not in the pyramid but any team in that league could hold there own in the combined counties prem
