Sheerwater FC Management 2011-2012

[CW1975]

Sheerwater FC have appointed John Cook (loop) as first team manager for season 2011-12. Cookie is currently assembling his coaching staff and recruiting players for the forth coming season. I will be assisting Cookie and we are both looking forward to the season ahead.

 

Training starts on Tuesday 28th June at 7:30pm. Sheerwater Recreation Ground. GU21 5QJ.

 

Friendlies will be announced soon.

 

Doug Mulcahy retired at the end of the season and received an award for his outstanding service to the club at the presentation evening. All at Sheerwater FC are greatful for the time and effort he has put in.

No offence to Loop Or YV, But sheerwater are going to 'the easy team to beat', I know a lot of the lads from the side that finished almost bottom and most will be moving on i woukld love to name them all but that is unfair on the players.

 

No offence guys nothing changed at the club when Loop went to the club in January, i think ur a great gaffer but the results were the same, training was poor by all accounts and the reserves a joke and prob the only ccl with no commitee thats why doug chucked in the towel. No one gives a do da about sheerwater when you have knaphill and westfield 5 mins away to play on decent pitches with lights.

 

Im not in no way dissing Loop Or YV , i just think youve both jumped in feet first in the deep end without realizing how hard its gonna be, these forums are for opinions and loop you can private email me and i will tell you who i am..

Wolfman, I never jump in feet first to anything. There is always a plan. Only time will tell.

Wolfman, you dont offend me and no we havnt gone in with eyes close, as for January if you no as much as your saying which i dont dought you will know me or titch were not picking the side and our only real input was a few words and getting players into the club, as for training your right but to make training work those players need to turn up! even if only 1 night a week which does not help! .

I would like to add sheers were at the bottom when we went in so something was achieved as for being easy pickings I hope everyone thinks that way

Loop, I think you will put your heart into it because thats the person you are, but in this day and age unless ur at a decent club even then you struggle to get the commitment of players , training once a week and the problem you will have is the same as dougs you will have to play players that dont train because they are better than the rest that do and players are clever and know that....

 

Im really sorry but i just cant see when it comes to the cold winter monthes after the smoke clears, you will be in the same boat as doug was lsat year.

Any idea who is joining as your back room and reserve staff or is it still in the pipe-line? Is Titch not gonna be making up the usual dream team?

 

Hope it all goes well but don't go nabbing too many of our players! I'm sure you will be alright as you were at Frimley and at least with Trev behind you, you know all the support possible will be there for you.

 

Hope to see you when you visit the Field this season, was down there the other day and it is coming along nicely and if you are interested I am looking to get a couple of new picks on our website to show the progress.

Thanks Bails, last season was what it was mate end result Sheers stayed up, Dougy done the job and stayed up will never knock him for, as for staff in the pipeline mate all to be revealed, Titch taking a bit of time out but will wait and see on that one as door always open for him.

As for nabbing your players I think if they turn up at our place I wont be telling them they are not wanted! (well maybe not all!)

Who,s doing the stiffs with you this year mate? thats if you are with the stiffs!

I say hats off to you loop.i have been in the hot seat down at sheers and know how difficult but equaly rewarding the club and players are.I really hope you have a great time and sort the place out,good luck ,adie.
