SSML AGM - Saturday 18 June

Recommended Posts

Bigboss I believe chairman has made contact. I understand letter of the law is a reprieve for Stony but with their lack of facilities and poor side I would hope we have a chance as we would certainly be competitive and ground is improving all the time

So if the letter of the law is applied the bottom 2 teams in division 1 will survive with 21 and 22pts respectively from 40 games each. What a joke.....

No disrespt to Stony, but because of the plight of Padbury which if the club has to fold then it's my belief Winslow would be in a better position both on and off the pitch to take the step up.

If Stony do remain in Division 1 cannot see them improving on last seasons position....however can you honestly say the SSML hierarchy do what is in the best interest of clubs involved?

Lets get ready to rumble then folks, I think the only certainty is Hoddesdon Town winning the Division 1 programme of the year award

I'm surprised nobody has commented on any of the prestigious gongs handed out at the AGM earlier this month, I understand that Padbury United winning the divisional programme award raised a few eyebrows:

I think hoddesden will win the moaning about people leaving their changing rooms dirty award AGAIN !!!

Going on past experience I would say they will be right up there for the "we should have won this game" match report for EVERY game award.

The Special One - When I was with Kentish Town and Tokyngton Manor you could eat your dinner off the away dressing room floor after we left a ground, it doesn't hurt to clean up and leaves a good impression

I see that Nick Bishop of Risborough Rangers won Secretary of the season, I've exchanged e-mails with him but we've never met, is he decent then

I see Pitstone & Ivinghoe won the best playing surface in Division 2 award, I assume all Division 2 Club's were agreed on that

Ref Off Ref - I suppose you thought Padbury United should have lifted the prestigious award

I see that a big thing was made in the local press of Biggleswade United lifting the 2010/2011 Fair Play award at the AGM last month, it was nice to see the unassuming Second Meadow Club win something:
