Matchdays

[Eastside Urchin]

Just been thinking!!!

Is there anything we could do on matchdays,especially the first couple of months of the season while the weather is still set fair to make the whole experience enjoyable.Many clubs at a higher level do all manor of things before kick off and at half time/full time but at our level is not really seen.Ideas anyone???

A BBQ maybe? Could add £2 to the cost and it can be optional?

I think a BBQ is out of the question as it would render the burger van useless for the day and take away revenue for the club.Also people won't pay a couple of quid extra to not eat a burger

Cant remember the ground but half time kids football seemed a good idea

Some sort of half time entertainment,maybe something out of the ordinary

Kids and parents sports day sort of thing, relay race round the track, winning parent and kid gets something small like a burger or drink? Can easily be done at half time.

Going off Topic slighty and correct me if I am wrong Kimble on this but thought this might be an idea. Dont the Ultras at Palace have their own brand on Scarves, T shirts hats etc What about doing our own version of this with i dunno an example Eastside, Forza urchins, etc with a logo on. think this would go down quite well IMO espeically with some of our younger fans on the eastside. An example of this

A lot of clubs do something with the raffle.

 

1st prise takes money. Next 5 play for a tenner. and do a crossbar challenge.

Some do it from the half way line and some do it from the edge of the area.

 

Best thing i've seen is no prize for the raffle (Northampton)/

1st 5 tickets drawn had to kick a ball (2 chances) into the back of a hatchback to win the car.

Car was by the corner flag. Kicker in centre circle-

Need a sponsor / insurance though, plus good advertising for the car dealer / manufacturer.
