Do you know where MK City have originated from and where there ground will be out of interest?

I think it is what was going to be Wolverton Town not sure where ground is but they have plans in place apparently to get it up to speed. I believe MK City finished there days playing at Wolvertons old ground I certainly played them there a few times always enjoyed it. All built on now I've been told

I had to register to answer this for you.

 

MK City are not the Wolverton Town club nor are they the old team that played years ago down at The Park.

 

MK City are currently a youth club and applied to both SSML and North Bucks for next season, maybe for their Under 17s of last season, they currently play at Tattenhoe, a Hertsmere facility. They have a Pitchero website. They dabbled in the MK Sunday League for a few seasons but pulled out in 2009-10 season.

 

Wolverton Town were not accepted to the SSML this season as we could not get the necessary ground improvements done in time, we have been held back by red tape since the MK Rugby Club departed the Field Lane, Greenleys site at the end of March.

 

Hopefully these improvements will be all in place for our entry in season 2012-13.

 

Hale Leys Utd are a very good side and play on a council pitch at Fairford Leys, Aylesbury, they also have a Pitchero website.

I would add I'm not convinced that a team like Hale Leys should be accepted with no ground, set up etc.. capable of promotion especially at the expense of clubs actually putting money and groundwork in to produce good facilities. This is not meant as a swipe at Hale Leys as I have said good players capable of playing 1 if not 2 divs higher

That's why Winslow need promotion, along say with Risborough if they can get lights installed, 2 clubs with good facilities unfortunately plying their trade against a lot of clubs with very basic set up's....good luck to you both
