Basildon United Begin Search for New Manager

'Basildon United Manager John Doyle has decided to resign with immediate effect from his role,John who was in his second spell as Manager of the Gardiners Close club has found that trying to combine his work at Basildon United with running his own business,managing a Under 15s side at Bowers and Pitsea and the demands of family life was infeasible.After a difficult start to last season the Bees showed much improved form during the latter half of the campaign and finished in 12th position in the Essex Senior League. Chairman John Moran paid tribute to his departing Manager 'John has long been associated with this club as both Player and Manager and myself and Club Director would like to make public our appreciation of Johns hard work and dedication over the last season'.Anyone interested in applying for the vacant First Team Managers job needs to send their CV/formal application to Richard Mann at richard@basildon-united.co.uk.
