FA Proposed Ryman set-up for 2011-12

Notwithstanding that we have been major beneficiaries from reprieves in the past; is it refreshing to see the league structure announced relatively early;and apparently at step 3 at least-no clubs apparently in the emergency financial ward. ?

Maybe just 7 weeks now to the first friendly ?

It is going to be very important that we get off to a good start next season and hopefully attract some more fans through the gate. There is nothing in that list that is paricularly attractive and will draw a large gate. I know some teams will bring a few fans like Kingstonian and Hornchurch, but the potential of large crowds for local derbies have gone. We really need to be up there mixing it in there for promotion or we will really will be struggling to get any more tthan this season. I think we have the right manager to do that but he really is going to need our full support. Hopefully with some sort of progress with the stadium that will attract a few more.

Your right- but my wants and expectations are realistic and next season-mid table would do for me.

Improved home form is vital though to get a few more through the turnstiles-and despite all the magnificent off field efforts to attract people and money-ultimately-its a winning team that attrats most (excepting the core 300 of us).

However CUP RUNS in all the cups are essential to stimulate interest (and of course money) but the interest also helps add a few more to the league gates for longer.

Attendances drop off as the season goes on, but the longer you stay in the cups, the longer league gates keep up there.

Thats why eeven the KSC and above all the ryman league cup are important to progress in as thet add a few more to the paltry league gates you normally get in fJan and feb

We live in a click button age. Surely the league can feed the teams into a programmed format, click a button, and hey presto we have afixture list for next season. In this difficult climate Clubs nedx all the time they can get to sell fixtures to prospective sponsors and plan expenditures. By the way I hear match sponsorships for next season are going well. If you want one then Hurry up.

Then you have near-by teams not at home on the same weekend - Margate and Ramsgate for example.

Yes, but given that 20-30 Margate fans often go to Southwood (about a quarter of their crowds) maybe that arrangement should be brought to an end?

why do Margate fans go there? as part of the 'home' crowd? why?

Presume your crowd supported the away team :wall:

It couldn't be something simple, like that they just want to support Local Football - could it?
