It's all a bit quiet on here !!! or are we all stunned by Saturdays truly HEROIC victory. It appears (Skippy with his Stat man hat on) that Swifts 14 points from 11 games in the Ryman Prem has only been bettered in the 00/01 season - So I would like to say WELL DONE to MARK, LIAM and ROBBIE for their efforts so far and what a SUPERB team spirit all the lads in the team have. Its time to kidnap Bertie, give him a different colour and call him Abdul (Jeff King will never know). Brayley aside, it was a great TEAM performance on Saturday and even without the island man you boys would have won that game. Good luck to you all at CANVEY - TFIBIBAW

We have beaten two of the top teams in the League table, and now we face Canvey, who we have every chance of taking, if we lose the innate respect we seem to hold out to them. We only have to consider that we are going to the waterside to play a team that are prepared to lend us one of their reserves and then will not let him play against them. The Big Fella seems to have got his ideology wrong somewhere along the line. We are going to use the lesson, learned from Bertie, and apply the same efficiency we applied to the downfall of Carlshalton, with a glut of goals. There was a hero in Bertie scoring a beautiful hat-trick, but all the boys that played displayed a superb level of football, with oodles of talent but delightful skill: at one stage in the second half there was a move that involved fourteen direct passes between the boys from left back through midfield which resulted in a shot- marvellous stuff!!! Again there were many stars but the form of Adam Gillespie continues to amaze me- he is all over the field. Let’s really go for the Canvey crew and show them how much we have progressed to genuine contenders for glory. TFIBTFIBAW.

So Jeff's negotiations in the loan deal is that Bertie can't play against us?! The Boss knows his stuff, I wonder if he's allowed him to play in the FA Cup with them too. Although I presume he'll be back with us by then.

I can't make any Tuesday night games this season as College have changed my Timetable and I don't get home till 9:45pm!!
