LEAGUE CONSTITUTIONS ANNOUNCED

Recommended Posts

FROM THE COLD END.......

For the second season in a row no team has been relegated from the Ryman Division One (North) with bottom of the table Waltham Forest breathing a big sigh of relief as the resignations of both Glapwell FC and Retford United from the Northern Premier League led to both themselves and Beaconsfield SYCOB being reprieved from the relegation to Step 5. Chatham Town (who move North) also earned a reprieve due to a vacancy at Step 4.

The current league line up for the Ryman League Division One (North) next season is as follows (obviously changes maybe made between now and August) -

Aveley - Relegated from Premier Division

AFC Sudbury

Brentwood Town

Cheshunt

Chatham Town - Moved from Division One (South)

Enfield 1893 - Promoted from Essex Senior League

Enfield Town

Grays Athletic

Great Wakering Rovers

Harlow Town

Heybridge Swifts

Ilford

Leiston - Promoted from Eastern Counties League

Maldon and Tiptree

Needham Market

Potters Bar Town

Redbridge

Romford

Thamesmead Town

Tilbury

Waltham Abbey

Waltham Forest

Where are Ware???? They have been moved to the Southern League Division One (Central) where they will face teams like Biggleswade United, Chalfont St Peter, Fleet Town (moved from Ryman One South) and Soham Town Rangers amongst others.

FA LINK HERE

So we've got 'new' trips to Aveley, Chatham Town, Enfield 1893 and Leiston to look forward too!!! Lets hope Leiston is on a Saturday near the start of the season..

Thats Ilford twice don't forget!

How long before Chatham object to the FA and get reinstated back to the South ?

Ware move seems strange when there are a few other Clubs further "north" towards Central League.

2 clubs at Ilford?

Surely Waltham Forest have now got permission to move back to Wadham Lodge

The following is taken from the Waltham Forest Guardian. Thursday 3rd March 2011.WALTHAM Forest FC will not return home as promised – not this season anyway, after another twist in a length relocation saga, writes Dominic Glover.

The club do not have the vital document to show the Ryman League with which to green-light their move back to the borough.

As a result, the club will not keep their pledge to keep their temporary home in Ilford for Wadham Lodge in Walthamstow this season.

Mystery surrounds the exact reasons, but the club were this week adamant that they were not blame for the latest delay.

That is according to Forest secretary Tony Brazier.

He told Guardian Series Sport that the process has stalled and may only be restarted by Matchday Centres, which owns Wadham Lodge.

“We’ve no lease to move in,” said Brazier. “They are meant to get it so that we can move it. It must go through various authorities, it’s an administration thing.

“We are waiting to hear from Matchday Centres to move it forward. We’ve been emailing them, but they have not replied. We are in their hands.

“We are just disappointed at the fact that we are not going to go back until next season. There’s not much left of it now (this season). I think we have only seven home games left.”

Matchday Centres has not issued Forest with the document detailing its permission to play at Wadham Lodge, claimed Brazier.

At the time of going to press, despite numerous attempts by the Guardian to contact Matchday Centres, no one was available to explain why a licence has not been issued to Forest.

Ryman League chairman Alan Turvey insisted no move can happen until Forest complete the necessary paperwork.

“People cannot just move into a new ground, you need an agreement that you can play there,” he said.

He insisted assistance is being provided by the League to help Forest resolve the problem.

“We’ve been waiting for this for some time. The league is not trying to stop Waltham Forest from playing there.

“The League secretary is helping as much as possible, but the club must do things in the proper way.”.

I see that Leiston is just north of Aldburgh.

Now if they could arrange the fixture on the same weekend as the Aldburgh Poetry Festival.(5 th November) then we can have a long weekend staying at the White Lion and enjoying a real east anglian breakfast followed by a firework party on the beach in the lea of the Britten Sculpture.

Sadly, we won't be returning to Wadham Lodge. We were shafted by the people running it, who despite many promises to us, never came through. They have now decided to take the money of a premiership club who will play their youth team at the Lodge.

We're exploring many different alternatives, but as always with these things, progress is slow, and we'll be at Ilford for another season at least.

Why not use Leytons Place , A call to the local authority might make all the difference , Its there doing nothing , Give it a try .

Aldeburgh is very close to Leiston on the Suffolk coast... Massive stoney beach, lovely town with some very nice drinking establishments and one of the best fish and chip shops in the UK. Next door to the chippy is one of the best pubs called 'The White Hart'..........Well worth a visit if we get Leiston on a Saturday!!
