I've been thinking again....

Putting Windsor in the CCL rather than the Hellenic doesn't make sense on its own but I've often thought the FA have a grand plan based over a few years. As we know, the FA want all clubs at step 6 to be floodlit. Their aren't many that aren't these days but the majority that are still unfloodlit are in the Hellenic League and CCL. I think I read a press release from the Hellenic League a few months ago that there was pressure on them to reduce their step 6 to one division rather than two but it won't be happening this year. To be honest a league that stretches from North West London to the Welsh border at this level is pushing it a bit.

Are the FA trying to force the issue and push the Hellenic boundary west? This'll mean the CCL area extending a bit to take in the previous Hellenic clubs and it'll mean both leagues should be able to come up with a fully floodlit step 6.

Because of this, it wouldn't surprise me if the FA did move Farnborough Reserves and South Kilburn to the CCL even though they're not floodlit. It's just re-arranging the boundaries at the moment. They may also try to encourage teams like Ascot, Binfield, Bracknell etc to move into our league in due course.

Just a thought but, if it does happen in two or three years don't forget I told you so!

South Kilburn and Rayners Lane want to come across i don't know if they have applied i would hope Rayners Lane would as i like the club and i know there just waiting on funding from the football aid for the floodlights as perission has been granted

The league memo mentioned Farnborough Reserves, South Kilburn and Rayners Lane all making enquiries about moving across but being referred to the FA by the CCL. It said that Rayners Lane was just an enquiry rather than a definite application but if South Kilburn come over then Rayners Lane may as well join in.

Farnborough ressies / Bisley will probably never be allowed floodlights so, unless they move, they won't be in the league for long.

Windsor Ram..... See what you have started..................................

Lol very funny weeble!!! See all the points and most are valid on this topic and suppose if my team was in that position I would be resentful towards this issue to!!! But I am just greatful that I have a Windsor team to support again and would do whatever level we were placed.

But surely Windsor F.C. are a New Club.Cannot find any results for them anywhere on google.Their new Chairman is their ex Vice Chairman, and they are going to be sponsored by a Hospice, who will not be putting any money in.How does that work?T hey are also looking for 200 supporters to put in £250 each =£50,000,no mean amount. So advice to any other Teams in C.C.L.Premier kiss 2011/2 season goodbye.Save your money for 2012/3,until a new EX Bankrupt Club appears, kindly sent by the F.A. you have been shafted BIG TIME.records show that Clubs who get dropped 2 rungs bounce back the following season,FARNBOROUGH,GRAYS,SALISBURY,whilst well run Clubs stagnate.FAIR DEFINITELY NOT,

Firstly Smudge, yes we are being sponsored by a Hospice to help them raise their profile in the local area and the sponsorship for this has been paid by the clubs commercial director.

Secondly, we are not looking for 200 supporters to put £250 in each, it is more like 100 supporters to help the startup of the club so that it is not totally reliant on the new Chairman giving supporters a chance to be founder members of the new club.

The only time I have seen a Mayor at a Club for a relaunch.Surely she must of known that they went Bankrupt owing Thousands to their creditors.Seems to me its not what you know, but who you know at the F.A.Seems strange to me that they have rules for Turnstiles, but not for owing people thousands. But it is a Royal Borough?

Were you at the relaunch Smudge? Do recall seeing you and definitely didn't see the Mayor either!!

They do have rules for owing people money and had we attempted any sort of rescue package, i.e. CVA, we would have ended up in exactly the same place we are now, in the CCL Prem as the punishment is a two division relegation.

But at least an attempt would of been made ,to give some of your creditors a little back, instead of fook all.No I was not at the relaunch, but research on the net, reveals that the Mayor-ess was their.Likewise as someone else mentioned the Hospice, sure they are over the moon being,in bed with an ex Bankrupt Club, but it does pull your heartstrings. The net is also informative as to who The Money- Man will be at the newly formed club, whilst certain individuals donate £10 to just for giving for a good cause, the said individual donates £250 no mean amount..

I think that's the point Malc, if clubs who had ran so irresponsibly entered administration and were then relegated two divisions and continued I’m guessing it may be more understood/accepted. Windsor FC is a NEW club according to their history, “founder members of the new club”, “100 supporters to help the startup of the club” etc and perhaps should be treated the same as any other new club with good facilities and enter at the appropriate step?

Guernsey FC are a new club are they not, and enter at step 6?

That said I'm still not sure how The FA can even direct them anywhere when they do not have a ground to play on (officially) at the time of allocations.

Anyway Malc, you are one of the few volunteers that puts everything in so I wish you all the very best for the new season.

Smudge, where does it say that the Mayoress was in attendance? If you read the report correctly is says that Fraser Silver read a statement from her. Also, we are not an ex-bankrupt club. Windsor FC are a new club and have no historic financial records as it's holding company was only registered on 2nd February 2011.

I think you also have the amounts donated extremely wrong if you think our new Chairman has only donated £250.

Green Pea, what ever way we would have tried no one would have got paid. The FA rules are that all debts have to be paid in full by the end of the following season, if entered into after March, or the same season if entered into before March.

Also, thanks for the kind words.

So everybody that got the original Windsor and Eton Club in such a mess,is no longer involved. So if you are a new Club start at the relevant level,it is not really your fault as supporters, the blame lies firmly at the door of The Money Grabbing F.A.,Maybe Guernsey should Appeal, for being placed in Step 6,they are a new Club.

When Windsor got placed into the Combined Counties I was genuinely excited about the season ahead. I'd heard some great stories about this league. The last thing I expected was the tone of anger and hatred being thrown at us. When Windsor & Eton were wound up it was heart warming and touching to receive sincere best wishes from supporters of clubs we'd played against over many seasons. Some of those clubs could easily have reacted differently - Didcot Town for example who lost six points and were relegated as a result but no they wished us well. It just amazes me that teams that don't even know us are throwing so much anger at us. As supporters we pride ourselves on our dignity we have a fully operational supporters club we raise good sums for charity and do a lot of work for our local community and we've made huge numbers of friends throughout non league football. I for one was excited to be in the combined counties but if this is the welcome we can expect to receive then it's a big sour taste before the season has even begun.

Sorry JR but where are they getting slagged off. People say it is wrong and I am sure if it had been Dorking you would have posted things slightly differently. Most posts are highly critical of the FA and of the fact that people including the tax payer lost out. The new club should start at the lowest level. Just because you are friends with them does not make the situation right.

I work for a company that have just spent a week chasing money from a football club that owes us. Now the rumours are that Football club are in money trouble and if they go bust could owe my company money if the cheque bounces. Yet at the moment they will be allowed to start above every step 5 club there is. But dont worry they may be friends of yours.

I fully appreciate your comments, Kroons, but to explain my post further, I would have to expand on what did or did not go on behind 'Committee-Doors', and I'm sure you appreciate that would not be fair to past/present club officials, the new club or specific individuals.

Just as a small nibble, friendship has got absolutely nothing to do with my post. I thought you knew me better than that.

Guernsey haven't been placed anywhere Smudge - they've applied to join the CCL at Step 6 and their inclusion is subject to a vote at the CCL AGM. There is no appeal if they get rejected - just like AFC Wimbledon were rejected at the Ryman AGM (whatever happened to them? smilewinkgrin.gif)

The CCL have been directed to accept Windsor - Windsor had no say in that decision and neither will the CCL or any of the current CCL Clubs.

There are certain FA directives (including the one that relegated Frimley Green, Horley, Feltham & Farnham back in 2005/6 in favour of the ex-Ryman Div 2 Clubs) that just have to be swallowed - there is no option (other than for Clubs that really feel bad about it to resign & try another League). It's now time to welcome Windsor FC, their players, staff & supporters and just get on with it. The experiences of Kings Lynn at another Step 5 League prove it's no foregone conclusion that they'll walk the League coffee%20(2).gif
