Will be in CCL Premier next season

SO HOW DO YOU KNOW THIS TEFS ? ....... I WAS UNDER THE IMPRESSION THAT A NEW FOOTBALL CLUB (BE IT IN NAME) HAS TO START AT THE LOWEST STEP AND WORK ITSELF UP THE LEAGUES, BUT HAVING SAID THAT, IF IT IS TRUE, IS IT 'COS OF THEIR FACILITIES ?....

QUEUE WHITELAW PLEASE !

Theres' a difference between "new" & "reformed" Clubs NG. (New ones don't owe anyone any money eh Krooner smilewinkgrin.gif)

Recent examples like Telford, Nuneaton, Farnborough & Ilkeston show that the FA are tending to place reformed Clubs 2 levels below where they exited

I have barely had time to advise colleagues on the Board etc. but to quell further speculation, I have received an email from the Football Association this afternoon confirming that Windsor FC has been allocated to the Premier Division of the CCL next season.

Wonder what the budget will be like there then??????? Will they be favs????????? Will the EX manager go back there???????? Do Bookham get relegated then?

MORE SPECULATION: IF THE CCL PREM WANT EVEN NUMBER OF TEAMS, 3 GO INTO THE CCL PREM. WINDSOR, FARNHAM AND SOUTH PARK. ONE CLUB PROMOTED GUILDFORD OR CHERTSEY (MAYBE) AND WHAT BOOKHAM RELEGATED ............?

Last I heard they had issues with the lease (with the Crown) at Stag Meadow so presumably the CCL will need to investigate this before accepting them?

I have no axe to grind with the club or the people down there putting in the hours but have they paid off all the debts (reported at around £240k)?? Or did they just change their name and manage to start up again in the CCL at the expense of another member club? Appreciate I'm not in the CCL anymore but just doesn't seem right, does it?

No it is not,the F.A. are a laughing stock,RESPECT they have none for well run Clubs.Happening too many times now when Clubs can run up huge debts, and then reform 2 levels lower,A DISGRACE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It seems young Teffs is the 'scoop-reporter' on the CCL Forum of FF.

I will make no further comment.

Hi all,

I am a windsor fan and even though I did state on the Windsor forum that was slightly disapointed to be allocated to the CCL only due to the amount of local clubs in the Hellenic Premier but I am personally looking forward to next season in the CCL.

Green pea to answer the question you already know the answer to is no the old club did not pay off the debt hence why they folded!! Is this fair on other clubs who are run within there means across the country ?? No fundamentally it is not but regardless of countless peoples opinion rightly or wrongly the FA have decided to allocate us a place in the CCL Premier.

The only people that lost out were the fans due to the demise of WEFC and other peoples mis management of finances over many years. Anyway that was the past now to the future!!

Heard many rumors about the lease on the ground but after attending the open meeting last week talks are ongoing with the Crown all be it at a slower pace than anticipated but all the same as you can imagine this is not the only thing that has to be sorted out when forming a new team.

Anyway just to again mention looking forward to next season let the rollercoaster begin.

Sorry Windsor but it is very very wrong.

Being local to me I will use Frimley Green as an example. Struggle to run a senior club but get by with a huge amount of hard work behind the scences from a few. Windsor p*ss a load of money up the wall and then fail to pay their debts. A new club is formed run effectively with the majority of the old club and are allowed to go above sides such as Frimley Green. It is morally wrong whatever the FA do or dont do and it is time it was stopped.

Couldn't agree more, Kroons.

This time last year, Windsor & Eton FC were celebrating promotion to the Step Three at about the same time as my own club were relegated from that level, having cut the playing budget twice in order to ensure we could pay our bills.

Seven months later, Windsor & Eton are wound up in the High Court with debts approaching £300,000. The fans are fundamentally NOT the only people who have lost out here - every business on the creditors list has lost out and the public purse has lost out due to the significant amount of unpaid tax that forced Windsor & Eton's demise. Therefore, if I were so minded, I could argue that I, as a taxpayer, have lost out because that money cannot be spent on providing schools, healthcare, or anything else.

My club is still working hard to pay its way (and has nothing like the level of outstanding liabilities that WEFC had) yet, where is our incentive to do that? We could have spent money we didn't have, gone "pop" last summer and then popped up in the CCL! That's just not right.

Windsor FC should have started no higher than Step Six and really should have gone into either the Reading or East Berks Leagues but the FA have set the precedent now and that's not Windsor's fault. Ilkeston FC, who went bust early last season are in Step 4 under the same rules. It's not fair on those clubs that do try to pay their way, but that's how it is these days.

My view is that if they have their own ground up to Senior football level they can start at the lowest point which for me is Step 6 and no higher and I dont care where they have fallen from.

Did the fans of Windsor celebrate their promotion of protest that the club was spending more than it can afford. I am sorry to say this and it goes for all the other clubs. People always feel sorry for the fans but the majority are more than happy to go along for the ride when their team is ripping up tress. Leeds, Hornchurch, Porstmouth etc. All the same.

So that's the CCL Premier Division title sorted next season then. The rest of us may as well play youth players all season in preperation for a title challenge in 2012-13.

Nothing against the 'new' club and their fans personally but, as Kroonz and Beano have said, it's wrong. It was wrong when Farnborough only got a two level drop and were still allowed in the FA competitions and, to show it's not a local bias thing, it was wrong when it happened to Nuneaton and Ilkeston and all the others.

Camberley had tens of thousands of pounds of debt in the 1980's. We were a bit stupid though as we came to an agreement with the main creditor and paid off our debt over a period of years (after a few legal wranglings). These days a wiser head would just say 'sod it - we'll disolve the club and reform in CCL1 with a slightly different name'. At least Aldershot Town and Maidstone United toojk a huge drop and started in the jumpers for goalposts leagues when they reformed.

And I bet Bookham are delighted they've now been relegated due to another club not paying their bills. If Windsor had gone into step 6 in either the Hellenic or CCL then it wouldn't be so bad as they'd not be forcing another club out of a league position but being placed at step 5 isn't right.

Rant over. You know how we feel now but we can't turn back the clock so we have to get on with it so welcome to the CCL! Despite what you may have read elsewhere, it's not worse than the Hellenic League. We have quite a few teams with grounds good enough to go up. The Hellenic doesn't and there's not that much difference between the teams in the leagues. :-)

THAT WAS MY ASSUMPTION KROONZZZ, ANY NEW CLUB THAT STARTS UP SHOULD START AT THE LOWEST LEVEL AND WORK THEIR WAY THRU' THE LEAGUES, BUT AGAIN I THINK IT'S DOWN TO WINDSOR'S FACILITIES AND BEING LOCATED NEAR THE QUEEN ! ... IS SHE A PATRON OF THE F.A............HA HA !!!

The only time I have seen a Mayor at a Club for a relaunch.Surely she must of known that they went Bankrupt owing Thousands to their creditors.Seems to me its not what you know, but who you know at the F.A.Seems strange to me that they have rules for Turnstiles, but not for owing people thousands. But it is a Royal Borough?

Weebs that is exactly what I am saying. But the interesting thing with Leeds, Southampton, Portsmouth, Plymouth, Leicester etc is they never went bankrupt and reformed they all entered CVA's although I consider that still to be incorrect.
